Fran Gascoigne, Dog Obedience Trainer & Behavioural Therapist for Middlesbrough

Hi, I am your local therapist. I have been a Bark Busters dog trainer and behavioural therapist for fifteen years after twenty odd years of teaching science and senior biology (A-level equivalent in Australia). I am now a master dog trainer and dog behaviour therapist and have won many awards within the organisation.

As you can imagine I have had to deal with a myriad of dog behaviour problems such as jumping up, separation anxiety, barking, aggression to dogs and people, a lack of recall (when the dog won't come back when called), pulling on the lead, toileting in the house, sibling rivalry and boisterousness and more. I have dealt with the smallest of terriers such as Yorkshires, West highland and Scottish terriers and Chihuahuas to the larger breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, great Danes and standard poodles and of course Labradors and golden Retrievers to name a few.

I now have three dogs, two who are rescued and one which has tried my patience so I can really empathise with owners of dogs with trying behaviour.

Alfie, my rescued Patterdale was to be put down for biting. Here is a dog who has taught me what it means to put the Bark Busters training and behaviour programme to the test. I have seen that by applying the dog training method consistently one can achieve the results of a better behaved dog. My cocker spaniel is a treasure. She can be very dominant and demanding so constantly needs to be reminded of her position within the pack.

The gentle methods used by Bark Busters are easy to learn and will have you communicating with your dog so that they understand what you want from them. I will coach you to use the training methods which will teach your dog to be calmer.

'A calm dog is a happier dog which equals a happier family!'

Dog Training TestimonialsWhat My Clients Say

Bark Busters value feedback so we give every customer a feedback form which may be returned freepost to our Head Office. Where permission has been given, these testimonials are taken from those feedback forms...

Fran explained everything I needed to do very clearly. She gave me the skills to use for training my dog myself. Ozzy responded very well to the training so I am hoping we will both be improved by the next visit.

I found Fran very approachable and friendly.I also found her very patient and helpful where I was going wrong. Whilst we still have some way to go there are definite improvements.

Fran was extremely knowledgeable and put things into clear instructions. The initial results were amazing but we are under no illusions that this process is long term. Leo, the four year old only rescue dog has responded to the training better than Sky who is only nine months. We have no doubt that we will get to where we want to with Fran's support.
