Hi, I am your local therapist. I have been a Bark Busters dog trainer and behavioural therapist for fifteen years after twenty odd years of teaching science and senior biology (A-level equivalent in Australia). I am now a master dog trainer and dog behaviour therapist and have won many awards within the organisation.
As you can imagine I have had to deal with a myriad of dog behaviour problems such as jumping up, separation anxiety, barking, aggression to dogs and people, a lack of recall (when the dog won't come back when called), pulling on the lead, toileting in the house, sibling rivalry and boisterousness and more. I have dealt with the smallest of terriers such as Yorkshires, West highland and Scottish terriers and Chihuahuas to the larger breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, great Danes and standard poodles and of course Labradors and golden Retrievers to name a few.
I now have three dogs, two who are rescued and one which has tried my patience so I can really empathise with owners of dogs with trying behaviour.
Alfie, my rescued Patterdale was to be put down for biting. Here is a dog who has taught me what it means to put the Bark Busters training and behaviour programme to the test. I have seen that by applying the dog training method consistently one can achieve the results of a better behaved dog. My cocker spaniel is a treasure. She can be very dominant and demanding so constantly needs to be reminded of her position within the pack.
The gentle methods used by Bark Busters are easy to learn and will have you communicating with your dog so that they understand what you want from them. I will coach you to use the training methods which will teach your dog to be calmer.
'A calm dog is a happier dog which equals a happier family!'
What My Clients Say
Bark Busters value feedback so we give every customer a feedback form which may be returned freepost to our Head Office. Where permission has been given, these testimonials are taken from those feedback forms...
Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Fran - as did Tizzie our dog. The session gave us hope and a plan that we did not have before. Watch this space!

I was happy and felt reassured after the initial training session.I am now confident that my dog's behaviour will get better while training continues.

My two dogs fought on Xmas day and they had never done that before. They are brothers and had been suffering from separation anxiety. After the fight we had to keep them apart which was very hard. I phoned Bark Busters and Fran came to visit over the xmas holidays and once in the bad weather. She was brilliant! We had 2 visits and what she taught us was priceless! My boys are back together happy and playful like they were before. They sleep in separate crates at night. When I go out they don\\\'t howl like they used to when I leave the house. Their behaviour is much better. Thanks, Fran.
