"We thought Janet was excellent in training us to get the most from our dog. She was clear in her explanantion and demonstrations of the techniques, and also the reasons behind why my dog was misbehaving."

Steve Smithson, Dog Obediance Trainer & Behavioural Therapist for Carlisle & North Cumbria, Lancaster & South Cumbria, Preston

I'm your local therapist and I live with my wife Roz and our Border Collie, Ellie. Ellie is the reason I do the job I do. We'd never come across a dog like her after many Border Collies before her. Yes, every dog is different but she gave us a rude awakening.

In fact she gave us and our neighbours a very rude awakening at around 5am every morning! It was even worse when we found out our new neighbour had moved to escape a barking dog next door! As she got older, her behaviour deteriorated more and we read every dog behaviour book under the sun but nothing in those books applied to Ellie.

It was at this time I came across Bark Busters and their seeming ability to deal with anything. I was so impressed with their kind and easy to apply methods that I joined them and Ellie is now a different dog.

What's great about our methods is that they are not a 'one size fits all' system. Every dog is different and its environment and personality have to be taken into account which is what makes the job so interesting.

Years on and I've dealt with almost anything you can imagine from dogs that won't get in to cars to dogs that want to eat me!

Whatever your problem, I can help. Wouldn't it be great if your dog became a different dog too?

Within minutes Steve had a clear understanding of my dog's difficulties. This was backed up by a clear and methodical solution with easy, simple and kind techniques. The difference within three hours was amazing and I now have a lot of work to do and to follow through. Thanks.

  • Hide note from Steve Smithson, Bark Busters Trainer
This dog had experienced a traumatic few days in isolation and in flight when brought back to the UK. Since that event, the dog had been extremely fearful and aggressive. The dog is now back to how she used to be - a happy and relaxed dog.

I found the 3 hour session with Steve very helpful. Since that time, my dog has calmed down a good deal. Needless to say, we still need more help which I look forward to receiving at our next session.
