Amanda Liversage
Dog Training North Wales, Chester, Wirral, Wrexham, Cheshire
Hi, I'm Amanda, the Bark Busters dog training therapist for North Wales, Chester and the Wirral. I live in Denbighshire with my husband Steve, 3 dogs and other assorted animals.
Born into a house with 2 German Shepherds, I have been around dogs for most of my life, but I got involved in dog obedience instruction 5 years ago when a chocolate labrador named Holly came into our lives. We were her fifth home and at 10 months of age she already had a lot of "baggage." A local dog club helped us to understand her problems. It was my first taste of dog behavioural therapy and as a result I rapidly developed an incredible bond with Holly. I was hooked! After 6 months of training with Holly, I was asked to join the club's team of dog instructors.
Four years of instructing, several dog instructors courses and our own obedience club later, Steve and I were undertaking a lot of one-to-one lessons and home visits. It was then that I decided that I wanted to work full-time with people and their dogs. I had heard of Bark Busters Home Dog Training through North Clwyd Animal Rescue where I'm a volunteer, and so I began to investigate further. Once I had met Carol and Tony from Head Office I found that the Bark Busters dog training methods fitted perfectly with my own ideals of positive reinforcement, and building a sound relationship between dog and handler. And here I am!
I totally believe that the more you understand your dog, the more your dog will understand you. I know it worked for me. Give me a call and I'll show you how.

In her first visit Amanda instructed us hand Bob our dog, with the results that the change in his behaviour to other dogs was amazing. She gave us techniques to practice with Bob, but mostly she made us feel that taking Bob out on his walks would now be less stressful for the three of us!
