What our Clients are saying about us
We have only had 1 session as yet, however after this first session of 3hrs with Alex working with Jerri-Leigh I noticed an immediate change in her understanding of what was right and wrong in regards to what I wanted of her and that was not pulling me over the step of the door when and on a walk. After Alex had gone I took Jerri-Leigh out twice and on both occasions I really did noticed she was calmer to walk and couldn't believe she did not pull me once, even a neighbor of mine saw us 3 days later and said Jerri-Leigh's demeanor had totally changed. I am so relieved that Alex came and started of these sessions, he is easy going with regards to listening to what I say the problem is, he understands totally, he worked not only with Jerri-Leigh but myself also, he answers any questions and gives advice like a true professional. At one point I was starting to regret getting her as I couldn't take her out but now I love taking her a walk as its calmer. We have more sessions regarding jumping to greet people and recall and I am so very much looking forward to working with Alex again. Already there is so much improvement in Jerri-Leigh without Alex using shouting or physical snacking towards Jerri-Leigh just simple commandsin voice tones. I can't thank Alex enough.K.M., stockport, Cheshire12th July 2016
Fantastic- Alex is very supportive & helpful Has a greater understanding of dogs and the failings of their owners! Very calm and patient and genuinely delighted with my minor sucesses - hard work but very rewarding - am enjoying walking my dogs - strolling calmly and no longer flying down the road on the end of a lead being dragged by a whirling dervish!R.B., Manchester, Lancashire27th May 2016
We would highly recommend Alex Fraser, the trainer after having our first training session with our nervous golden retriever Benjy last weekend I can't believe the difference already in a few days. After years of struggling to walk our dog on a lead as he is scared of noises such as traffic etc, Benjy will now walk without pulling (on quiet roads for now after just one session) on a harness and lead that Alex recommend using techniques shown. Alex also shown some useful tips at home that can teach Benjy that we are the 'boss'. we were also advised of very useful food facts and ways to keep our dog on a healthy diet. Definitely worth the money, thanks again Alex and we look forward to our next training session!L.A., Pendlebury, Lancashire11th January 2016
We had an issue with our two 8 year old Border Terriers who had developed an embarrassingly overreaction when leaving the house to go for a walk. They would leave the house frantically barking, screaming and choking themselves on their leads. It was of such a severe degree they would be indifferent to our attempts to calm them down and deaf to any our commands which (when calm) they would normally follow without issue. We tried pretty much every tactic going to correct this behaviour but were having no success whatsoever. After contacting Bark Busters, we were assigned to Alex Fraser who in just a few hours, taught us everything we needed to know to correct the undesirable behaviour. Alex listened attentively to everything we said about our dogs and got a thorough in-depth knowledge of them as individuals. Nothing was rushed or generic, it really felt like it was tailored and personal to us. From explaining to us about passive leadership, teaching us the correct communication/body language, easy to follow demonstrations, written guidance and patiently practicing with each family member, he taught us real and practical solutions. Solutions that we can continue to use on our own. I would also like to like to say that our dogs enjoyed and engaged with the training and it wasn't a gruelling or stressful situation in any way whatsoever. Because of Alex and his training, there has been a significant improvement in our dogs which we are very grateful for. I would recommend Bark Busters (in particular Alex) to anyone.R.S., Rochdale, Lancashire26th July 2015
Alex is very friendly and explained everything in simple terms , It didn't take long to realise we were the ones being trained. Jasper is a young very stubborn border collie. When Alex first arrived Jasper was barking his head off in another room. When he eventually met Alex he was immediately responsive to him. After a couple of walks he stopped pulling and within a couple of weeks he was letting people over the doorstep and into the house. As for his training outside he now passes other dogs calmly while on or off his lead , stopping him chasing traffic is much improved and although work is still on going in that department I can't remember the last time I had a stressful walk.S.N., bacup, Lancashire1st September 2014

In the few months since my husband and I got our wonderful cockapoo puppy, Ziggy, our lives have revolved around her completely. She has separation anxiety and, though I work from home, getting work done has been impossible because of the amount of attention she needs. She is a very happy dog - as long as she is not on her own for one second.
Left alone in a room, she would cry and hurl herself around, to the extent we thought she would seriously damage herself. I have stopped leaving the house without her, even to pick up a pint of milk - her distress was too much to bear.
After reading so much contradictory advice on-line and trying it all and getting nowhere (and feeling like a zombie after having no sleep) I got in touch with Alex out of desperation.
Our session was a revelation, and the Life Time support offers peace of mind, knowing we can call upon Alex at any time in the future.
Seeing how Ziggy responded so positively to Alex's instructions (with her tail wagging throughout the session) was unbelievable. I am skeptical about anything with too-dramatic-sounding results, but the change in her responses was obvious. We are no way near being as good as Alex with the techniques yet, but we are still learning, and can now see how it's done.
Most importantly - Ziggy loved Alex and enjoyed the session.
I feel confident that we have the techniques now to get our lives back. Ziggy is as happy and loving as ever when she's with us - still full of personality, but not crying in distress every time I leave the room.
We can't thank you enough, Alex.
Raising a puppy can be challenging, especially for first time puppy owners, but rewarding non the less. I really enjoyed working with Ziggy's parents, and Ziggy responded really well to the training methods we used. I'm really looking forward to catching up with Ziggy and her family in the future.

The training with Alex was very clear and practical. I was given a number of different training tasks to carry out regularly. The session was enjoyable and broken up well into small sections within an overall framework.

Alex spent 3 hours teaching us how to train our dogs Tilly seems to be responding quite well ivy is older and more stubborn but seems to be getting better the lessons were very helpful and Alex was very easy to talk to and very pleasant to deal with hopefully we will be having follow up lessons in the next couple of weeks to see their progress
With multiple dog jobs, its often not the dog that I'm initially called in to see that is the root cause of their problems. As the owners mentioned, their new addition was behaving better at the end of the first session than one of their older dogs.
I'm looking forward to catching up this Thursday to see how they are all doing.

Roxy is an 8 year old cross pommeranian. She is a beautiful dog with a big bark and that was the problem. Everytime people entered or left the house Roxy would bark her head off and it was annoying and embarassing as she would not do as she was told. Roxy also has a bit of food aggression so when she is eating no one can go near as she would growl and snap at you. Alex came to visit us in early January , he spent about 3 hours at our home wiith me and 2 of my daughters. He fascinated us with how quickly he was training Roxy to stop barking and how easy it was for us to implement the techniques for us to do this.
Alex visited a few weeks later to see how we were getting on and to offer any more supoort. He could see a vast improvement
Its a couple of months on now and Roxy is a different dog. We feel we have much more control over her barking. Obviously she barks because thats what dogs do to communicate but Roxy does not bark at everyone like she did when they are coming and going from our home.
We have control over her eating now too as she has learned to wait for us to allow her to go for the food.
I would definately recommend Alex Fraser to assist with any dog training problems that you have. He has helped us to control Roxys barking and eating issues. We are grateful for his professional incite.
Roxy is a lovely pampered Pomeranian who barked a lot when people walked past and especially when people entered the house. By the end of the first session, her family were able to stop her barking repetitively when I entered their home ad they had also built in some control manners around food. By the time I returned 2 to 3 weeks later there was a massive improvement in her behaviour - I am delighted!!

Although i had used Bark Busters for my last dog who sadly died 2 years ago it was 15 years ago and my memory isn't what it used to be.
I have a 15 month Labra doodle Missy Moo her main problem is recall, although she was pulling on the lead, with a bit of refreshing problem solved after 30 min.
However getting Missy to look and listen was a bit harder.
Alex gave me confidence and reassurance and i feel that if i follow the training Alex gave me,i should have thee Perfect Pouch!
Knowing that i can contact Alex at any time and he'll be there.
Great trainer listened and built my confidence.
Many thanks Alex you've made dog walking the pleasure it should be.!
Missy is a really well behaved dog around the home, however she does not always come when called both inside and outside the home. Her attentiveness when walking to heel improved by the time we finished the first session, and I'm confident her recall will continue to improve.

I would highly recommend the trainer Alex, Toby used to tug at the lead and pull when he went for a walk, after the first session Alex recommended the harness, which worked really for Toby, after the first session Toby is now well behaved when he goes for a walk, I am very pleased to have found a trainer like Alex because it has helped a lot and Toby is already better behaved.
By the time we finished the first session, Toby was walking well to heel and I have received confirmation that he is still behaving whilst walking on his lead. He also used to get very nervous and bark when any stranger entered his home, but this has also greatly improved. Keep up the good work

We got in touch with Alex for help with our 2 year old Mastiff. Rollo jumps at certain people when they enter the house, has a tendency to pull on the lead when he see's another animal (cat, horse, fox) and barks aggressively at people passing our gate. On his first visit Alex was very informative and explained the reasons why Rollo was doing these behaviours and exactly how we were going to stop them. We have only seen Alex twice and already there is a big difference in Rollo on the lead and we can now walk past horses without him reacting (which we never thought we would be able to do)! We cant thank Alex enough and we look forward to what we can achieve with him and Rollo in the future.
I sometimes get a bit of dog envy when I work with bigger dogs, and Rollo was no exception - he is amazing!! He was a little giddy when we first met, but it's important a dog of his size doesn't jump up st people. He responded really well to the training both in the house and on his lead. He has since been to my house and calmly walked with my two dogs past a number of horses. I felt very proud of him and his Mum and Dad!!
