What our Clients are saying about us
I’ve got a energetic 11 month old Rottweiler called Logan. He has got a great personality but his door manners and walking was horrendous, so I got in touch with Alex. Before Alex arrived I was very sceptical, but he is honestly great at what he does. Within the session he listened to our needs on a individual level, he took his time to show us the correct ways and methods to engage Logan, had us demonstrate the techniques and then gives us timely feedback so we got it right. By the end of the session Logan wasn’t pulling on his lead and was waiting patiently at doors till we allowed him to greet people. It’s just up to us to keep up the training, but I will definitely be booking more time with Alex for further help (recall training). You can tell he has a real passion for his job, and it shows with his professionalism and passion. Logan and I would recommend him to anybody who needs some support.L.M., Cadishead, Greater Manchester27th March 2018
In the few months since my husband and I got our wonderful cockapoo puppy, Ziggy, our lives have revolved around her completely. She has separation anxiety and, though I work from home, getting work done has been impossible because of the amount of attention she needs. She is a very happy dog - as long as she is not on her own for one second. Left alone in a room, she would cry and hurl herself around, to the extent we thought she would seriously damage herself. I have stopped leaving the house without her, even to pick up a pint of milk - her distress was too much to bear. After reading so much contradictory advice on-line and trying it all and getting nowhere (and feeling like a zombie after having no sleep) I got in touch with Alex out of desperation. Our session was a revelation, and the Life Time support offers peace of mind, knowing we can call upon Alex at any time in the future. Seeing how Ziggy responded so positively to Alex's instructions (with her tail wagging throughout the session) was unbelievable. I am skeptical about anything with too-dramatic-sounding results, but the change in her responses was obvious. We are no way near being as good as Alex with the techniques yet, but we are still learning, and can now see how it's done. Most importantly - Ziggy loved Alex and enjoyed the session. I feel confident that we have the techniques now to get our lives back. Ziggy is as happy and loving as ever when she's with us - still full of personality, but not crying in distress every time I leave the room. We can't thank you enough, Alex.C.H., Chorlton, Greater Manchester23rd April 2017
Alex was very thorough with his explanations and demonstrations of the techniques involved, the difference in Rosie was almost immediate. The exercises we were left with were easy and very effective. On Alex's 2nd visit we went to our local field where he showed us his recall techniques, again these have been very effective and having practiced them a few times I have been able to let rosie off her lead in the knowledge that I'm not going to loose her (we have lost her 3 times before contacting barkbusters). Overall Alex is a great bloke who knows his dogs and his techniques, Rosie is now well adjusted and well behaved.G.C., Sale, Cheshire19th September 2016
I had initially called Bark busters after a complaint from a neighbour about our Beagle's excessive barking. Bella was also suffering from separation anxiety. She was like a whirlwind, getting up to mischief e.g. chewing destroying things constantly, refusing to give items back without treats, jumping on chairs, crying then barking if one of us went out of the room. We had avoided having visitors as we were unable to stop her constant barking. We were all feeling very stressed and out of our depth. Little did we realise our dog was stressed to! I had attended dog/training obedience classes for almost 9 months but stopped recently as I felt that we weren't tackling the behaviour problems. Alex the therapist was just brilliant! He was able to read Bella straight away, explaining why she was demonstrating certain behaviours. Alex stayed with us for almost 3 and half hours, he was patient with us and Bella who responded to him immediately, she even lay at his feet! Alex showed us some very simple but effective techniques to use to improve Bella's behaviour, which would also raise our pack status with Bella. He explained that if we did this dealing with the separation anxiety would be easier. We could see a change in Bella during our first training session. Alex recommended a harness, which has worked wonders on the walk as Beagle's love to sniff everything! Our walks are now a workout for Bella and a pleasure for us all. The change in Bella has been amazing from day 1, she stopped all her destructive and hyperactive behaviour... we now have a dog who is calm and happy and is just behaving like a dog. She listens to us, she doesn't feel the need to bark to get attention, but if she barks we can stopped her very quickly. We can all leave the room and she is not bothered, I can go upstairs and leave the stair gate open. She will take herself off into another room and just busy herself chewing her deer antler (which was also recommended by Alex). She just behaves! It's a miracle! Peace and harmony has come at last! It is like a great weight has been lifted off our shoulders.. we can now really enjoy our furry friend. I would highly recommend Alex, he has given us the knowledge to understand our dog and give her what she really needs. I am sure Bella is thanking him to and saying thank goodness my pack are in charge and I can relax and just be a follower.A.T., Radcliffe, Lancashire7th April 2016
We can't thank you enough. Alex's help has changed our lives and we are truly grateful. We were at our wits' end and on the point of despair with our little rescue Coco, particularly our inability to control her behaviour when out on her lead. We still have work to do with her/ us but we are all happier, safer and more relaxed. She is so much better, happier and eager to learn and to please - only limited by our lack of imagination! We recommend Bark Busters to anyone and everyone who will listen and are looking forward to our next session / catch up session with Alex before too long. Thank you!J.W., Mossley, Lancashire5th January 2015

Alex gave us simple techniques to help with our dog Castro’s behaviour that were successful immediately.
His sessions and fun and informative for both dog and owners. He is patient and thorough and we feel we are making big steps in the right direction.
Alex is only ever a text away if we have an issue that arises. We feel confident in his support and expertise and we all enjoy his sessions immensely.
Castro is a lovely little dog, but he used to get over excited when he encountered other dogs which resulted in him barking. I normally visit a number of customers on days I am working so i am unable to take my 2 boys with me, but I am more than happy for customers to come to me. We recently did a walk with Castro and my 2 dogs and it was amazing. All 3 were off lead and running around, and even when we encountered other dogs Castro’s Mum and Dad were able to ensure he behaved. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to catch up with them all in the future.

As others have stated I was a little apprehensive as to how training in the house would attend to Millie's pulling, barking and non return tactics! However Alex explained the plans for the session and began training me! After learning the basics we went outside and soon Alex had Millie walking to heel - I was impressed. Today I have been out for a walk waiting to be pulled but we have walked to heel :) This is only the first day but I am hopeful and looking forward to the second training session working on recall
I know what I do works, but I was expecting Millie to be a real puller on her lead. By the end of the first session she was walking beautifully next to her Mum. We have met up again recently and she was still behaving whilst on her lead which allowed us to deal with her excited barking when she passed people. She did really well. I am looking forward to catching up in a few weeks time to work on recall.

I really enjoyed meeting Logan and his parents. At 11 months old he is still a puppy, but a 50kg puppy can sometimes be hard to handle!!
The session went really really well and he made his Mum and Dad very proud when he started to listen and walk to heel. I can't wait to catch up with them in the future to continue with their and his training.

Hi this is an update on our dog GEORGE. We saw Alex in January and just wanted say how pleased we are with our "new dog".
A BIG THANKYOU TO ALEX for training me and Sean!!! Its not been easy but well worth all the effort . Improved with the barking hardly does it at all now, stays with us on walks comes back straight away on recall, he even sits and waits for us to lead the way, through the doors ,and over stiles.
Can't thank you enough Alex ,your a star. x
I love to receive feedback from customers, but I love it even more when I get further feedback confirming how pleased they are with how their dog is behaving. Very touched!

Wow, amazing change in my puppy. Should wouldn’t even leave the house for walks before and now after the first session Alex managed to get her walking! Literally feels like a miracle. Now our walks are much more pleasant and I don’t have to carry her around. She’s still a baby so I’m looking forward to more training in the near future.
Alex also taught me how to show my pup who’s in charge and how to get her to listen to me, works perfectly, she no longer stands under my feet when I’m cooking food.
Excellent communication and excellent service, very pleased! Thank you Alex!
Sometimes by the time we have finished working with a dog in the home, the issues that they used to have outside are no longer a problem. This was one of those sessions and I am delighted to hear that her young dog is now confidently walking from her apartment. I’m really looking foward to catching up with them both next week to work on her heel work.

Alex explained everything well and was able to answer all my questions.
I found Alex very friendly and knowledgeable. He trained my husband and myself how to handle Dexter and Dexter learnt some training on the lead. We were very happy with Alex and feel sure that all the issues with Dexter will be sorted out.

Extensive, wide ranging, clear easy to understand and follow.
Working with any puppy or in this case puppies, there is a lot to get through during the initial session and there are often a lot of questions to answer, even when the puppies spend an hour of the first session snoozing. I can't wait to go back and see them all in a few weeks to see how they are doing and to continue with their parents training

I didn’t really no what to expect , and Alex made me feel at ease and explained everything in simple terms. My dog wasn’t naughty he was just very stressed and Alex explained why and how we could destress him. After just one day I saw improvements in my dog, we are a long way from total destress but Alex has given me the confidence and Techniques to correct him.
I really enjoyed the initial session. When I first arrived it was clear that her dog was not aggressive, but just a little stressed with his job of protecting his family and his home. By the end of the first session there was even minimal noise when the window cleaners arrived which amazed even me. Can't wait to see what greeting I receive when I return to see them all in a few weeks.

I have to say that Alex was brilliant with Gizmo, he was also extremely helpful with training tips for myself and my husband keith to continue the training and within the first 90 minutes we saw a remarkable difference in Gizmo
I would have no hesitation in recommending Alex and barkbusters to anyone having problems with their dogs.
The session went better than expected and Gizmo quickly realised that he no longer had to worry about who entered and exited their home. Left both owners with plenty of excercises to practise and I can’t wait to catch up with them in a few weeks.

We found Alex very helpful. The 3 hours flew by, and every minute was very interesting and enlightening. Alex left us with lots to think about, exercises and training to help both us and George. Will be recommending Alex to lots of our doggy friends. Thank you so much Alex.
Great session with George and his parents. Their main issue with George was walking him off lead and ensuring he stayed with them, but before we set off on a walk it is always important to do some work around the home to make sure he was listening to them properly. By the time we set off on a walk George behaved really well. We were all delighted.
