What our Clients are saying about us
Lynn was professional and helpful and gave us some very valuable tips and information. After only 15 minutes of work outside with Lynn there was a vast improvement in the way our dog walked and behaved on his lead. Now just two days on whilst continuing with the training exercises my husband was able to talk to a neighbour who had his dog with him and our dog stood quietly, the change is remarkable and it's like we have a new dog! We are more confident and looking forward to taking him further afield for new adventures in the future.L.G., Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire27th January 2017
Lyn is brilliant. Baxter is a young puppy who is very intelligent. The problem is not him, it's us! Lyn has helped us see that with a calm manner and consistent commands we can train him to be the dog he is meant to be. Everything was explained in simple terms and Baxter responded very well. We feel much more in control knowing that if we have a problem Lyn is on the end of the phone or will make a follow up visit. Thank youC.C., Wembley, Middlesex19th November 2014
I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable about canine behaviour as I have worked in Veterinary Practice for over 20 years but when Murphy started to act aggressively towards other people's pets. I was at a complete loss. Having tried other cheaper behaviourists and got nowhere, I contacted Lynn Prentice as she had been recommended to me by other staff at my Practice. Lynn arrived on time, assessed Murphy and over the next few hours very tactfully assessed all the mistakes I have been making. When pointed out, I became extremely aware of all the things I had been doing to make Murphy feel the need to protect me as I had unwillingly put him in charge. At no time did Lynn ever make me feel bad or embarrassed even though if the truth be told, I should have know better! Lynn suggested many small things I could do to put me back as Pack Leader and within only 2 weeks, the difference in Murphy has been astounding. He obedience level has improved 100 fold and not once, has he shown even the slightest sign of being uncomfortable/aggressive to any other animal. As someone who see's many "professional" behaviourists within my work environment, I can say, hand on heart, try Lynn first as you will not need to go anywhere else. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.S.S., Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire10th October 2014
Our experience with Lynn has been positive. Both of our dogs have improved with the training we were shown. Our girl has responded very well, whereas our boy has proved to be more difficult. There has been a dramatic improvement when going for walks, and it is a pleaure now without the incessant pulling. Still having problems with barking outside. Around the house is much improved and visitors have commented about how quiet they are now. Lynn responded quickly to our request for some refresher training. Training lapsed when we left the dogs while we were away on holiday, but is now back on track.M.M., Luton, Bedfordshire12th July 2014
When Lynn came to meet with us Frank (our beautiful Boxer) was very jumpy - jumping, even sometimes leaping at us and other people when he greeted them, he also practically walked us when on the lead. It's coming up to 2 and a half weeks and already there is a massive improvement. Lynn has been brilliant with the homework she left with us making it very clear about what we need to do which is becoming very effective. Lynn is always on hand should we need to contact her, should she not be available we have always had a call back the same day. We are feeling very positive about Frank's future with us.S.T., Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire18th March 2014

We found Lynne to be an intuitive and supportive therapist. She accurately assessed the issues we have with Teddy and offered excellent strategies and training to help us to overcome them.

Lyn took time to listen to our problems and discussed all our issues at length. She understood and gave us many ideas on how to improve Elsies behaviour, including researching her diet, in fact from the moment she met Elsie things have improved.
It has only been one week since Lyns visit and I can now take Elsie out with a lot more confidence, with just a collar and lead, not with a harness and halti as it used to be. Also Lyn showed me that Elsies behaviour in the house could be improved, this I had not realised was a problem, but with a few small adjustments this has greatly improved too.
I have noted that Elsie is now more content and I believe happier.
I know there is still a long way to go, but I am confident that with Lyns help, I shall soon have a very well trained dog that I can be proud of.

Well, where to start! I've never seen such a dramatic change in the behaviour of an animal in such a short space of time. Lynn came in and literally put our dog in his place immediately. We have a large rescue puppy from abroad and he was running riot in our household. His nipping, barking, recall, pulling and jumping was out of control and causing a lot of stress at home for my partner and I. We have two older dogs who we have never had any problems with but having Dudley our large pup has been a challenge to say the least. I thought that having had dogs for years i knew how to deal with the issues we faced but i came to realise that i was the problem and that i needed help as I wasn't doing right by Dudley.
Lynn showed us that we were the ones being bossed by Dudley. She showed us the techniques needed to put us back in charge and the change has been dramatic in the two days since she came to us. Its important to know that Lynn will not solve the issues overnight, it requires the owners to work on her techniques and stick to them and over time the results will make your life happier and your dogs life better.
I was sceptical before she came but would highly recommend her to anyone.
In the two days since she came my puppy no longer barks and jumps at anyone who comes in the house, he is getting there at doing what he's told at the first time of asking and the house is a much calmer place. Its not about being horrible to your dog, its making you the pack leader and giving them praise when they do what you ask.

I can't believe how quiet it is already in the house; no barking at the window (or very little). Lynn showed us how our behaviour towards our dogs was leading to them feeling that they ruled the house rather than the other way round.
It is going to be a long road until the new rules are thoroughly trained in but it is having a marvellous affect on Freddie and Lucy already. I know that Freddie will never like black labs or small dogs, but my wish is for the situation to be controlled so that we can enjoy our walks. Lucy will never forget that we rescued her from intolerable conditions as a Greek stray, but she will learn to come back when called and that she is not in charge of security in the house.
Thank you Lynn.

Lynn came to our rescue very quickly when we experienced more problems than we expected when we adopted a rescue dog and tried to introduce her to our existing dog. Her starting point was that we couldnt have the two of them in the same room together without total chaos ensuing.
Lynn came out very promptly at the agreed time early evening and had the initial problem in hand within half an hour, they were in the same room happily without trying to attack each other. We had a lot of other pointers from Lynn to help us keep going.
She also checked in with us the following day and we discussed our progress the following week too. I can't thank her enough for how quickly and efficiently her approach and support has solved the intergration and behaviour problems we had with the two dogs. The advice we received and techniques help us maintain a happy home now.
I would have no problem at all recommending Lynn to anyone else who needs any behaviour advice for their dogs. In fact I have already done so on more than one occasion. Thanks again for your help Lynn.

Monty is a Newfoundland x St Bernard, a very big powerful fella, so, initially Lynn was concerned this type of training may not be suitable due to the difficulty of physically restraining the dog if he decided he wanted to be elsewhere. We need not have worried. From the first moment we stepped from the house and began the lesson it was obvious Monty would respond. Within moments Lynn had Monty walking beside her without pulling, all using simple voice commands and praise. When meeting other dogs enroute to the park area Lynn had him passing them without the usual bouncing and pulling. Lynn demonstrated the techniques we needed to help Monty understand who is in charge, and what we want him to do. Going out for walks is now a real pleasure, we are much more relaxed and do not fear meeting other dogs. Monty is much more content and a real pleasure to be out with.
