What our Clients are saying about us
We had our first meeting with Sharon just over a week ago now as we were struggling to manage our pup Bentley . Sharon instantly made us feel at ease and we knew we had made the right decision. Throughout the visit Sharon shared her knowledge and techniques with us which we also got to put into practice. We are amazed with the changes we have seen so far and they are continuing to work well with Bentley. We understood that this would be a working progress and have made changes suggested to us regarding Bentley's diet, exercise and behaviour and again we are extremely pleased with the results most of all Bentley seems to be a much happier pup. I would recommend Sharon to anyone who is struggling with their pup/dog very professional and friendly service!!L.F., Moreton, Wirral, Merseyside12th March 2017
Sharon was amazing today. Friendly and approachable. She quickly started to explain in a way we could understand bits of her obviously extensive knowledge an understanding of how we can improve the day to day behaviour of our two boxer puppies. Immediately they were calmer and we could see exactly what we were doing wrong but had no idea! I can see how if we follow her advice and everything she taught us today that we can have a good family life with our children and two boxer baby boys! Amazing to watch Sharon at work -we hope we can do her proud in time for her next visit.V.W., Wrexham29th September 2016
Our first session with Sharon went very well and I felt she diagnosed the issues with our dogs quickly . As well as discussing the theory behind the training methods we were going to use, she incorporated several practical exercises to address the problems she had identified, and left us with written instructions so that we would be able to do these ourselves between sessions with her. The dogs responded very well and I am confident that we will see improvements soon.D.A., Rossett, Wrexham9th February 2016
Sharon came to visit us on a Thursday evening to help with the training of our little puppy Daisy. If we are honest it was more us that needed the training rather than Daisy. Sharon spent some time getting to know a bit about us and Daisy and then got straight into tackling the issues we were experiencing. She showed us some positive ways to encourage good behaviour and we have now successfully trained Daisy not to jump on the sofa and made a big leap into getting her crate trained. In addition Sharon also took Daisy out for a walk and gave us advice on how to positively encourage her as she is a little nervous walking at night. I find the service provided by Sharon to be perfect for our needs. We felt that we needed help in very specific areas hence contacting bark busters rather than puppy training. This is a service I would highly recommend.T.R., Wrexham, Flintshire5th February 2016
This was our 2nd training session and as with the first, we felt it went really well. Alfie and Lily are making real progress and are growing into lovely, well behaved (for the most part :)) dogs. We have been struggling to stop the puppies from jumping up when we enter the room or when they are excited e.g. at mealtimes /walk times etc. and so Sharon showed us some simple techniques for combatting this behaviour. She also showed us the clicker loading and clicker training so that we can encourage Alfie to sit more obediently without the need for repeated requests. We have moved their crates following Sharon's suggestion as they were having a tendency to toilet in a particular place in the dining room and so their beds are now there so discourage them from toileting there. We were also shown new techniques for walking them together (this was introduced during our first session but we hadn't been successful in embedding this). We have plenty to practice now and the children are fully on board with knowing that they can't give them attention when they first walk into the room and this will reinforce the behaviours which we (the adults) are using to discourage them from jumping up. Sharon continues to be a genius at her craft and we are loving the learning - which is delivered in a calm, consistent but firm way. Another great session so thanks very much Sharon!G.H., Penyffordd, Flintshire20th January 2016

What an excellent first lesson. Sharon was very professional in her approach to us and our dogs. We noticed a big difference in our dogs behaviours straight away and we have implemented her recommendations working as a family. We wonder where are old dogs have gone and can't wait for the next lesson.

Sharon was very professional and informative, and obviously has a lot of knowledge and experience with dogs which my wife and I found very reassuring.
She listened to our concerns and advised us on the appropriate course of action.
She was at our house for approx four hours and as there was a great deal for us to take in it was very useful to have the handouts she gave us as she left to remind us of the various points covered.
We have started to put into action the suggestions Sharon made regarding Alfie's behaviour and we look forward to seeing her again in a few weeks time to make sure we're on the right track with him. At this stage we feel very positive that we've done the right thing in getting in touch with Bark Busters, both for us and for Alfie.

We had a fantastic first meeting with Sharon. I was a little anxious before she arrived. I wasn't sure if this was the right thing for us to do. Within 10 minutes I realised I should have done it sooner. Sharon was very supportive and helpful and so easy to talk things through. I didn't expect to do so much on our first meeting. I have been left with written instruction which will really help when there is so much to take in. I have gone from feeling so negative with my 5 month old Border Collie to feeling so positive and can't wait to watch my beautiful puppy turn into a well behaved adult dog. Just knowing I can contact Sharon at anytime for support is great and I cannot wait for our second meeting to show Sharon how well things are going and for Meg to develop into a lovely family dog which I can take anywhere.

I cannot recommend Sharon enough - she has been fantastic! When we first saw her my husband and I were struggling to contain our puppy's excitement and he was proving to be a real challenge. With a few simple techniques, Sharon really helped us keep him calm around the house and teach him how to be a part of our family in the right way!! He's still bonkers but at least it's in a more contained fashion, and when we allow, not when he chooses!! Sharon has always been on hand by phone or email for any other questions we have had and I have found it reassuring to know I have someone to help me - Albee is the first puppy I have had sole responsibility for so I wasn't really sure what to expect, and it has been great having someone to help even if it is just to tell me I am doing it right.
It's not just the initial problems that Sharon has helped with, and she has also come up with great ideas to help other issues that have developed as Albee has got older.
It is obvious that Sharon does not see this as just a job and really takes an interest in you and your dog. She wants to help you get the best out of them and build up a relationship so you can really enjoy your dog. Through helping me to enjoy my dog more, Sharon has also given me the confidence to try things that I never thought I would do - we do obedience and agility classes and hope to compete very soon (although Albee is recovering from surgery on his knees so this is on hold for now).
I would not hesitate in recommending Sharon to others - she never made me feel like any question I asked was silly, or that any of my dog's problems were down to me, and she really took time to find out about me and my dog and had a genuine interest in helping us succeed.
Albee with his cute eyes and face was initially making life hard for his owners. But once shown how to communicate with him and guide him into making the right decision he soon became a well behaved member of their family. Watching their relationship grow has been an absolute pleasure. I know you are all going to continue to learn together and have lots of fun.

Sharon gave very thorough advice with regard to Zara's issues. Within a very short period of time, we had already made some noticeable progress. The next few weeks will be challenging and hopefully rewarding as we continue to build upon the training we were given today. As long as we follow the instructions, and with further tuition from Sharon, we are confident that we will all benefit from this experience.

Sharon was fantastic. She came when Ned was 13 weeks, although he was a good puppy there were a few things we definitely needed advice and help with. One of the main things for us was his walking trying to even get three houses down would take 20 minute as he was sniffing and pulling. Sharon gave us advice and now happily take Him to the woods and sit outside a coffee shop with him and that's just in 4 weeks. She shared information of how to change his food and which website to look on so we now know he's eating better. He doesn't wee at all inside he will go outside and we don't use the puppy pads at all. What I love most about all of this, is how all the training is done in a positive way and using lots of praise as this is the only way I would want to train Ned. Above is only a few things she supported with in the first session there were lots more.

Sharon is brilliant, has no messing from my bossy rescue collie !
He is 8 years old & I have had him for 3.5 years. He has developed an acute noise phobia & started refusing to go out for his walks with me. He is also attention seeking & as a result has me wrapped around his paw !
Sharon identified very quickly that he was using his noise phobia to control me & we have done work to address this. Most of the time he is playing up rather than being actually frightened. Sharon had visited again today & seen first hand how his behaviour is when we are out on the field. . She has given me the confidence & strategies I need to deal with his negative behaviour.

A very positive session with Sharon. I had struggled with Duke's anxiety & hyperactivity since I rescued him in late 2014 & was amazed at how quickly Duke reacted to the techniques Sharon advised.
Having been experienced in the past with rescue dogs & successful in my techniques, I was however, unable to change some of his behaviours. I spent hours on YouTube, paid a large amount of money to a 'TV Behavourist' - who accepted £1500 & told me his advice was to have my dog euthanised as he was so out out of control.
Being at my wits end, I came across Barkbusters & decided to give some further training another go.
I quickly realised that most of Sharon's techniques were aimed at me as well as my dog.
No worries - I took that on the chin.
I have been practising Sharon's advice & so far am achieving results. It's a slow & consistent process but I'm sure with my patience & consistency, we'll both reap the rewards.
Super pleased with advice & techniques so far.
The best thing is that Sharon is available for further sessions which is fantastic.
