Tina Edwards dealt with: Puppy Management Toileting

Tina was very helpful and Ruby tried to respond as best an eleven week old puppy could. I have persevered with the training and she does respond general. Sometimes she will SIT but rarely on first command! She is still very young but is walking better on the lead daily and is very sociable with other dogs and humans. Whilst the "deaf" ear of a Beagle shows already, I am determined with Tina's help that the good character Ruby has, will shine with great training.

Trainer note from Tina:
A very pretty Beagle pup who is quite confident so will need consistent, calm work with lots of praise to help her to learn.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise Hyperactivity Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Recall or not coming when called Sibling Rivalry - aggression or fighting between dogs in the same household

Really pleased with the training we received they were like completely different dogs at the end of the session. They have never been so quiet and calm.

Found it very helpful not just for the dogs but for us and felt that what Tina taught us really helps and made sense.

Trainer note from Tina:
Two 1yr old siblings who had started fighting and hurting each other, over food and attention of the family members. I showed the owners a lot of scenarios where they could work with the dogs together and individually to teach them the rule and boundaries that they needed to feel safe in the knowledge that they didn't have to vie for top dog position with each other as the humans had now taken that job vacancy!! They responded really well, but only consistency with the daily training programme will give permanent results.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise Other

Was amazed to see my puppy (9 month jack russell)respond almost instantly

Trainer note from Tina:
This young dog has caused problems but excessive barking especially at a neighbour who used to be able to reach over the fence to give him a fuss, but he was now snarling and barking at her. He was very responsive to the training, which I showed then coached the owners with the techniques to communicate with him in a way that he understood much more easily. A real sweetie, we used lots of scenarios in house and garden teaching him to stop or not to even start barking and then asked the neighbour to come out and make a noise in her garden. The owners were able to stop him from barking and he wandered off to investigate other more interesting matters!!

Tina was very professional. She very quickly ascertained where we were going wrong and showed us how to address our problems. She advised us on diet - on her advice we have changed Bertie to a raw diet and his behaviour immediately improved. He was much calmer. He loves the training. What I would say is that if you don't put in the work you won't get results. This is about showing you how to train your dog. They don't do it for you. It's early days but all in all I'm very impressed and confident that we're going to have a beautifully trained dog.

Trainer note from Tina:
A young dog with a lovely nature, but who was getting overtired and naughty. It is important that dog owners are given the techniques and knowledge to train their dogs. I could get fantastic results and walk away only to find that the dog regresses within a couple of days as the owners, if not coached and given the methods to carry on the daily education of their dog, would not be able to carry on and success if any, would be limited. Once the basics are in place after a couple of weeks I will be going back to help with any residual problems but mainly to move the training on to lead work, recall and distance control.

I was quite apprehensive about the training as I had never done this with previous dogs, but as soon as Tina arrived she put me at ease.

Tina explained what was going to happen, and then we discussed the problems I wanted to concentrate on.

I was shown training techniques, and how to build on them and Tina then carried out some of the techniques, and I was amazed how quickly my puppy responded.

Tina also advised about crate training which I had decided not to use, after approx 1 week of initially using it, when I first brought my dog home.I felt that 5 months later it may be difficult to use again. However following the discussion we had, I realised what benefits it had, for my dog to feel safe, and following tips to practice getting her to go in it, I was amazed that my dog slept in it all night, which I was so pleased with.

I was made to feel we could call any time for further advice and help and I would definitely recommend Bark Busters and Tina to anyone.

Trainer note from Tina:
The cutest little Pomeranian puppy ever! She had done a great job of getting everyone in the family well and truly wrapped around her little paw and I almost succumbed too! A very sweet natured little pup, but had started causing problems by barking, not getting enough sleep, not sleeping through the night plus all the normal puppy stuff like stealing, mouthing etc. I showed her owners how to communicate with her just using body language and voice tones and persuaded them that part of the problem was that she needed proper sleeps during the day and the day and that a crate was the best place for sleeps and overnight. I worked with her at first to show what she was capable of then coached her owners in the same techniques. She was a little star! Responding really well and grateful that the humans had relieved her of the job of running the household!

Tina worked through a number of simple exercises with us and the dogs to help us understand how to passively control our dogs and establish leadership. I was amazed how immediately effective the training was. After living with dogs that go crazy every time the door bell rings to peace and quiet within a few days has been a great relief.

Trainer note from Tina:
Great to work with these dogs who responded very well, once they understood what their owners wanted!

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Pulling on the Lead Recall or not coming when called Separation Anxiety

In the few days after Tina came and met Roo and I and showed us the basics, I have really noticed a difference. He walks so well on the lead and even ignored a dog he met! I have changed his food to all raw and he poos less! He will do as he is told, mostly, whilst on the lead and even slows down his own gait when I ask! Am looking forward to seeing progress with the park and recall.

Trainer note from Tina:
Roo is a large lurcher who at first meeting seemed very aloof. I met with them again yesterday and it was obvious that his owner had been working really hard on the daily training programme we put in place as Roo. He was so much improved that they were ready for more work in the park doing long lead work for recall, distance control and attentiveness. He was very quick to pick up what was wanted and they are now well on their way to allowing recall in a couple of months time once he has achieved a good "stop" and "come"! Can't wait to see it for myself.

Very pleased with Tina. Our dog is responding to the training almost immediately.

Trainer note from Tina:
A young GSD who is excitable by nature, but made worse by his diet. We worked on getting him to respond to the natural communication methods I use so that we can slowly build his understanding or good and unacceptable behaviours. A puppy in an adult body, he will take time to mature as he learns.

Tina was clear and concise with her instructions & had my family working well with Tia. The session was intense but worthwhile. Tia was exhausted!

I have a new found confidence to take my over exuberant GSD out on my own.

Now its up to me and the rest of the family to be consistent with Tia and make her the calmer happy dog we know she can be.

Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement

Trainer note from Tina:
Tia is a lovely girl, but highly strung as some GSD's can be. Calm, consistent work, showing and guiding her into the new behaviour will get the results wanted.

Tina was amazing, really hit the nail on the head with Cash despite only meeting him then for the first time. We felt more confident and positive about his behaviour and can see an improvement since meeting with Tina. Would highly recommend.

Thank You!

Trainer note from Tina:
Cash is a very handsome GSD, but was being much to protective of his home and owners causing them concern in the way he rushed and barked at visitors. I showed them various ways to teach him to respond to them so they could show him that they, not Cash, were responsible for visitors! More work to do, but a great start.
