"Really informative & helpful. Was shocked by the immediate effect even basic training has when given well. Lee explained all the theory behind it, which made this a lot clearer & made a lot of sense!"

What our clients say about Kim Lummis

Dog Obedience Trainer & Behavioural Therapist

Kim Lummis, Dog Obedience Trainer & Behavioural Therapist for Brighton, Gatwick Area

I'm very pleased that Teddy has been very good and the training has been going very well.

I will keep it up with my Teddy and I'm very happy he is well behaved towards the children and they love him to bits.

L.C., Littlehampton

Teddy is a lively pup who was starting to push some boundaries with his owner, eg barking in the garden - particularly when the children were on the trampoline! Things are now much quieter and his owner is back in charge.

I knew Stan (my border terrier) and I needed training before we ended up with an "ASBO" at our local park. Having never owned a pet, let alone a dog before I found myself slowly losing control. I had a dog that was jumping, barking and taking me on a walk.

Well Bark Busters and Kim have changed all that. Within the first hours of training Stanley was responding. Kim was very understanding and didn't make me feel like a bad owner for having an unruly dog. She has provided me with a greater understanding of his behaviour and the skills to correct it. He is now walking on the lead to heel, not jumping on visitors and slowly but surely behaving up the park.

I thank Kim for the new relationship Stan and I now have and it's only been three weeks. We know that we still have a long way to go but what a difference.

I would highly recommend Kim and Bark Busters for their friendly, professional and effective service.

I was very pleased with the first training session. My dog responded very quickly and has already calmed down enormously. Thank you Kim! I really thought my puppy was a "lost cause". I now enjoy her more and more.

To be honest we were both very sceptical about having home dog training but Louis has responded so well to his training. Alterations to his diet combined with Kim's training has greatly improved Louis behaviour. We just want to say a big thank you.

Louis is a lovely but lively Springer Spaniel. His owners have worked really hard on making sure he listens to them, and understands where he is in their "pack". The change in his diet has made a huge difference.

So far everything is going very well and I can't thank Kim enough for her help and advice. Sophie and me still have a long way to go, but with Kim for support I know we will get there. Thanks so much Kim.

I was very impressed with Kim right from the start. She was calm, confident and capable and the sessions we had were always enjoyable as well as educational and effective. From the first session there was a great improvement, especially with my extrovert, excitable young dog who is rather vocal! The negative re-inforcement techniques are very welcome - I find most obedience classes fall short in that area - it is so important to make it clear to your dog that bad behaviour is not acceptable and it is so valuable to have strategies to control it. Very worthwhile. Thank you.

An excellent first visit. Kim was very thorough in finding out all about us as a family and, of course, Mabel our German Shepherd. The techniques we were shown have worked brilliantly. Mabel is much calmer with visitors already. We are looking forward to the next session. Thank you!

Z. W., Wisborough Green, West Sussex

Mabel is a gorgeous, eager to please German Shepherd. Her training has gone extremely well, and by the end of the second session she was walking to heel off lead. An owner who was totally committed to the training and the results speak for themselves!

Kim has made such a difference to our relationship with Bella. Kim has given us the confidence, and excellent training techniques to overcome Bella's issues. We would recommend Kim to anyone experiencing problems with their dog, she is so talented and has such a calming effect on an over-stressed owner!

Kim was an excellent communicator, seeming to read us and Badger very well. She gave alternatives if we found the initial method too difficult.

Mrs D's dog had not been left successfully alone in YEARS. By the end of the first session we had set up 2 "going out" scenarios, with no anxiety shown. A really great session!
