What our clients say about Phillip Gazzard
Dog Obedience Trainer & Behavioural Therapist

We were completely intrigued and could not believe when we heard that Bark Busters would have such an instant impact after just one visit... but it is TRUE!
Our dog Banjo is an 8 month old Patterdale Terrier Cross and we love him so much. We have had him from 12 weeks old and wanted to 'iron out' some behavioural issues that we found to be uncontrollable no matter what we did such as jumping up, barking/crying, hyperactivity in the evenings when we would come home from work, pulling on the lead etc.
When Phil came over one evening and educated us in relation to food, dominance and becoming the pack leader we were blown away by how well Banjo responded to the training techniques that we were shown. We really saw Banjo's true self and it felt like we had met a brand new dog; it was quite emotional too.
The very next morning after Phil's visit, Banjo was submissive to us and was really listening to our commands; it was really that quick. Obviously we have to follow the homework given to us and be consistent in what we do but we can see the change in Banjo straight away.
We had tried in the past to train Banjo to our way but in reality Banjo was training us to his way and we soon realised that we needed professional help from Bark Busters to really guide us and teach us the right techniques.
In that one evening Phil really helped us to re-programme ourselves to realise that we needed to become the pack leaders for Banjo to respect and respond to us positively.
Phil is coming back to us in 3 weeks when we will then go out and do some lead/walking training but by then we are sure that Banjo will already have the foundations learnt inside the house to use this outside when on the lead.
We signed up for the Gold Service so that if ever our circumstances or environment changes then we can call on Bark Busters for advice. We are prepared to follow the homework and put the time and effort in and definitely know that over time Banjo will grow up and become his own dog and all 3 of us will be happy and content in our pack!
If anyone is thinking of contacting Bark Busters we would say get on the phone and call them as you will not regret it - it is the best thing we have done for us and our dog Banjo.
Thank you Phil and Bark Busters!

Phillip spent a long time listening to us about the problems we were having with Ben. He was very sympathetic when we both got upset when he explained about commercial dog food, as our last dog died early due to diabetes related illnesses. We have now switched Ben to a natural raw food diet and we are sure he is much calmer, healthier and definitely moults less. The training has made our relationship with Ben much less stressful! walking has become easier for both of us, and although some aspects still need workto achieve perfection, we can now see light at the end of the tunnel. We would have no hesitation in recommending Phillip Gazzard to other people.

Molly is much calmer and learning to respond to us and commands. She walks nicely on the lead - no pulling!
She is learning not to jump-up on people she meets, both at home and outdoors. We are working hard at training Molly not to bark and rush to the door when visitors arrive with a degree of success. She is much better and we are pleased with her progress. She seems to be a much happier dog

Phillip was fantastic, I saw a result from our first session. He not only improved my dogs behaviour, but gave me the confidence I needed to be pack leader. I would recommend Phillip to anyone whole heartedly!

Phil was brilliant, we soon realised the key was our behaviour and after just one session, the impact on our dog Rufus was extraordinary. he's calmer, happier and 10 times more obedient. He was great before, but he's BRILLIANT NOW!

Emmy & Dylan were an absolute nightmare to walk together. Dylan Pulling, Emmy Barking, it was a real pain rather than a pleasure. Once Phillip had assessed them both and given us instruction there was an immediate change in both dogs. Emmy, was now attentive and actually walked like a normal dog without barking. Dylan has improved and is walking nicely although i know I have a very confident boy who will need lots more training. I\'m not worried though, because I have Phillip as my trainer

Phillip was a very friendly person who had both my dogs under control both by me and myself. The nutritional advice given has been taken on board and my dogs love their new diet. Casper is still chewing when left alone, but the crate training is coming along and I will soon be able to leave him in his new safe haven when I go out. Reggie is excellent on the lead, but Casper still needs further work on the pulling (with Phil's help). Overall definite improvements!

Phillip's understanding of dogs is brilliant. He gave us some valuable tips about our dog and we saw great progress by the end of the first session.

It took us 6 long years to get over our other dog before we were in a situation where we wanted to give another dog a home. We adopted Ollie back in Nov 2008 from Lewes where he had been sent from Battersea for aggressive issues with people. We had seen him on the web site about a month before and could not believe he was still there. It soon became obvious after we got him home, that he had certain aggressive issues and we were advised by our vet (whom he bit) to get in contact with Phillip at Bark Busters. We took our vet's advice which has been the best money we have ever spent.
Ollie was wild and was totally "The Boss" but once we had met Phillip all that changed. We are learing all the time and with the techniques Phillip has given us we can keep him under control now. He is more submissive and his behaviour is a million times better than those early days. Walking is still an issue with other dogs he becomes aggressive but with Phillip's help (and believe me its wonderful) we have now got the tools to help Ollie grow into a wonderful dog. We look forward to Phillip's visits and help over little issues and bigger ones.
Keith and I can not thank Phillip and Craig enough for all the help and encouragement you have given us over the last year and we look forward to our continued relationship.

Without Phil's help we would have had to have Katie re-homed! With his help and understanding and with the training methods applied, Katie has become a much more obedient and loving dog which we can now both enjoy. We would certainly recommend Bark Busters and Phillip Gazzard to friends and family.
