"Once again thank you very much Phillip for helping me with Martina, after you left, I couldn't believe it so I went out, with both dogs, off lead, all the way around the block and Martina never once, stepped in front of me. I know I probably shouldn't be doing that and I promise to continue practicing the techniques a lot more before I do it again, but I just had to feel it was real."

Thank you very much. All I have ever wished for was to have a dog, that I could take for walks to the park, to the beach, take it everywhere with me, unfortunately Martina was nothing like that, always pulling on the lead and always aggressive towards other dogs, which made walks in the park quite frustrating. She just needed to see a dog at the distance to start running at them.

Thanks to the techniques taught to me, by Phillip, I can now walk her quite easily through the park and although I know she is a work in progress, I have every confidence to see it through and all thanks to Barkbusters.

If for some reason in the future I feel that I am losing my touch with Martina, I know I can always ring Barkbusters and book another session.

Thank You So Much

David

Mr D. A, Croydon, Surrey

Martina is a delightfully biddable and loyal 2 year old Staffy Cross, with a slightly shy personality. Prior to Bark Busters, Martina had unwittingly assumed the role of minder of the pack and was presenting fear aggression towards other dogs and pulling excessively on the lead. She was completely misinterpreting her role in he pack manifesting itself in poor recall and dog aggression. Under the guidance of Bark Busters therapist Phillip Gazzard, Martina's devoted owners have rehabilitated Martina, and reclaimed the leadership role to resolve the issues and provided themselves and their two dogs Martina and Ika with a calm safe well behaved environment with which to live happily in. Well Done David and Sonia

Sorry our dog bit your trainer! However he worked wonders and Boycie is now a changed boy that is fully under our control. Thanks Bark Busters (The bite was just a scratch)

Mr S. O & Ms Z. H, Coulsdon, Surrey

Boycie is a 2 year old male Rescue Dogue de Bordeaux who was stranger aggressive, territory aggressive, jumping excessively and pulling on the lead. With an unknown previous history there was evidence that Boycie's previous owners had resorted to physical punishment hence his fear of men. Boycie is really a lovely dog who was simply harbouring fears by association from his previous home. He was also assuming the minder of the pack. Thanks to the dedication of his new owners under the guidance of therapist Phillip Gazzard, Boycie is a happy reformed dog. As for the nip, hey it was just a scratch and goes with the job.

After Phillip's visit we are so impressed with Henry's change in behaviour. Henry is responding really well to us and we are enjoying him a lot more! We should have done this a little while ago!

K & M. F, Sanderstead, Surrey

Henry is a 6 month old Wire Haired Hungarian Viszla, with a wonderfully characterful personality. Henry, like most puppies, was in need of some leadership to calm his hyperactivity, and to resolve his barking, jumping up on visitors, and pulling on the lead. Henry's devoted family have taken on board all of the advice and guidance provided by therapist Phillip Gazzard, and have seen a rapid transformation in his behaviour. Henry is a happier dog as is his family. Well done!

Phillip was extremely helpful and gave us confidence that we could train Bonnie and overcome all of the problems we are having with her behaviour.

Mrs J. V, Herne Hill, London

Bonnie is a characterful 5 year old female Border Terrier with a soft submissive nature and a willingness to please. She was previously nervous around other female dogs and had a propensity to react aggressively towards them. She also had a habit of barking and scavenging for food due to an underlying instinct to supplement her primary nutritional requirements. This was contributing to poor recall. By addressing pack leadership and nutrition, Bonnie is now responding well to her Bark Busters training.

We have very much enjoyed our sessions with Phillip as has Lottie. She was about 6 months old when he first came and although quite shy and biddable, still needed a lot of training to be elevated to the status of a trained & obedient dog, but in about 7 months we seem to have made it!

Mrs J. O, Grove Park, London

Lottie is a beautifully natured female German Short Haired Pointer with a timid disposition and blessed with a devoted loving family. Prior to commencing her Bark Busters training. Lottie had undergone basic independent puppy socialization classes. Her remaining issues included jumping up, mouthing, pulling on the lead, barking and recall, all of which have been resolved under the guidance of behaviourist and trainer -Phillip Gazzard

Still a work in progress but huge changes visible and feeling more confident in myself too.

Mrs C. M, Streatham, London

Roxy is a delightful Miniature Schnauzer who has a nervous personality and was terrified of her vet and small children. She was misinterpreting her role in the pack and in certain circumstances had a propensity to react aggressively through fear. Roxy's dedicated owner has conscientiously worked towards providing an enhanced level of leadership for Roxy under the guidance of Phillip Gazzard, which has improved her confidence and calmed her nerves. Her barking has been resolved and she is a much happier dog. Roxy now walks beautifully on the lead. Further work is still required to reinforce Roxy's confidence, but immense improvement has already been made.

Very clear and sensible advice that worked -instantly! I saw an immediate improvement in my dog's behaviour which was surprising as other therapists had failed to stop his incessant barking.

Marie, Chelsea, London

Alfie is a delightful 2 year old male Corgi/Jack Russell cross who had become very protective, territorial and fear aggressive in the lead up and following the arrival of his devoted owner's new baby. Alfie had been misinterpreting his role within the pack, and after an holistic overview of environmental factors and practical training and communication, he has gratefully accepted his new harmonious role within the pack.

  • Puppy Management

Phillip Gazzard was very thorough and clear in his approach in training the family as well as our dog Twinkle. We feel that we have an invaluable and reliable trainer in Phillip and whom we feel comfortable to turn to whenever.

Mrs M. T, Clapham, London

Twinkle is an adorable -6 month old female yellow Labrador, who was experiencing a few behavioural issues such as pulling on the lead and nipping. Twinkle is responding well and being a puppy, is a work in progress. We will commence recall, attentiveness and distance control training at the next lesson with Phillip Gazzard.

I'm absolutely amazed at Oscar's progress after such a short period of time. Phillip achieved so much in just 4 hours with us, and not a 'treat" in sight. The simple training techniques have been easy to keep going on our own and I'm hopeful of a great outcome! Thanks.

Mrs V. B, Wallington, Surrey

Oscar is a 10 month old male Cocker Spaniel rescue dog who had a penchant for chasing foxes and birds. He is a confident, playful and sociable dog who's enthusiasm for walks was overriding his obedience manifesting in pulling on the lead and poor recall. Oscar has responded beautifully to the new found leadership from his devoted owners under the guidance and tuition of Bark Busters behavioural therapist and trainer -Phillip Gazzard

  • Separation Anxiety

Owen appears to have responded well. He now sleeps in the same place day and night. His howling seems to have stopped.

D. L, Belmont, Surrey

Owen is a 9 year old Staffy cross who was suffering from separation anxiety since his pack had relocated to a larger home. Bark Busters Behavioural Therapist and Trainer -Phillip Gazzard is now working with Owen and his loving owners to address the issue. By optimizing his environment and teaching his owners how to communicate in a meaningful canine way, Owen has now released the anxiety and fear of being left when his owners go to work. Further support visits will help to reinforce this rehabilitation.
