This client has two sibling Dobermans, Ace and Sencee as well as a Doberman puppy called Ivy. Ace and Sencee had previously ticked all the boxes in terms of severe behavioural problems, with sibling rivalry and stranger and dog aggression being at the top of the list. They also pulled profusely on the lead and were barking the house down and causing great concern for the family and neighbours. While there is still further work to be done on a cat fixation problem, their devoted owners have made enormous progress within 3 sessions. Moving forward consistency will be the key, but with their new found knowledge of how to think and communicate in "dog", the future for all 3 dogs is now comfortably secure.

Phillip's understanding of dogs is brilliant. He gave us some valuable tips about our dog and we saw great progress by the end of the initial session.

Bracken is a wonderfully biddable and intelligent entire male Labrador. His general obedience was excellent from the outset, but he had a tendency to bark when visitors arrived and had also developed a pattern of dog aggression when out with the dog walker. Bracken's underlying problem was simply down to misinterpretation of his role within the pack. Being an entire male he had a propensity to mind the female dogs within the van, and postured up dominantly to other male dogs which had been escalating into aggression. He has responded well to the behaviour modification therapy which has been put in place by his loving owners and his dedicated dog walker -Bruno.

Phillip was excellent, he immediately identified the issues with our dog Sam, and provided sensible explanations for his behaviour & constructive ways to tackle the problem areas. His support over the following weeks was extremely helpful in ensuring that the training learnt continued to benefit both Ruth and I as well as Sam. Thank you.

I was so impressed with Phillip's approach, and totally amazed at the positive results after my first session. Barley who originally led me on walks, was walking beautifully to heel after just 2 hours, it was an absolute miracle to see! I really felt as if I had become the leader and top dog in a very short time! Amazing start with Bark Busters. Thankyou! I could not stop hugging Phillip, the miracle man!!

Phillip is very knowledgeable and professional trainer. He is great at explaining techniques in situations, so they are easily understood by me and my son, who is now looking forward to Phillip's visits. Our relationship with Woody is getting easier and more enjoyable, especially after we got back our undisturbed night's sleep!

Melvin was very responsive to Phillip's suggested training methods, and is a much calmer, more submissive dog than when he was first rescued. We are gradually making progress with his behaviour and walking him is now a more relaxed and pleasurable experience, and more rewarding for both dog and owner.

  • Sibling Rivalry - aggression or fighting between dogs in the same household
  • Separation Anxiety

Excellent first training session with immediate results. They both soon learned that I was the pack leader and are calmer as a result. It still takes plenty of practice to stop barking when the doorbell rings, but I'm sure with perseverance we will get there. They do not bark at passers by any more, which is a huge step.

How difficult can it be I thought? How naive was that for a first time dog owner. Both Teilo and I couldn't have done it without Phil's help - and it's on going - but his patience, enthusiasm and depth of knowledge has been invaluable. Thank you.
