Hi Phillip & Craig,

Just a quick few lines to thank you both for the assistance you have given Lorna with Cooper.

The change to a raw diet has improved his behavior one hundred fold and many thanks for that Craig. The difference was and still is remarkable.

Your visit today and what you achieved with Cooper was brilliant Phillip. He has been an absolute pleasure to be with for the rest of today. As soon as he did anything unacceptable he was told off and stopped right away and then praised.

Someone came to the door this evening and I told him to stay and opened the door and he obeyed me! Didn’t try and jump the wall onto the lawn either!

He’s gone to bed by himself tonight a very contented puppy. I think it’s getting into his brain that he doesn’t have to be the one calling the shots and is happier for it.

Lorna is herself full of confidence that she can with your help train him to be a wonderful companion and much loved member of the family.

Again many thanks for what you have done for both Lorna and Cooper so far.

Best wishes

Aileen

A. B & L. B, Carshalton, Surrey

Cooper is an 8 Month old, male Chocolate Labrador with a delightful exuberant personality. He has been on a restricted exercise regime under veterinary advice due to a mild hip dysplasia diagnosis. Being a young adolescent dog, he needed to expend his energy levels, so taking this into consideration a specially designed training programme has been prepared by Bark Busters therapists; Craig Steiff and Philllip Gazzard. This also involved some research and enlightenment for his owners on the facts about canine nutrition, as well as a tailored training regime within which Cooper is now discharging his energy reserves without aggravating the Hip Dysplasia. Cooper is now a changed dog, and is well and truly on track towards overcoming his behavioural issues. Cooper's devoted owners are now maintaining excellent leadership giving him boundaries within which he can know how to please. He is responding beautifully on all fronts, and showing promising signs of recovering from the hip dysplasia.

  • Puppy Management

Phillip has a great way with dogs and a magic effect on Lucas. Lucas was a very boisterous puppy & I couldn't cope at all. He is now 15 months and is still very lively, but has become a civilized dog. Thanks so much.

Utterly impressed! Within a few days Berkelei was a pleasure to walk and she's not even 12 weeks old!! We just need to nail house training her now.

J. S, Notting Hill, London

Berkelei is an adorable female Old English Sheepdog puppy. So adorable in fact, that the biggest distraction to her training is the constant compliments from her fan club of admiring passers by. Berkelei is responding beautifully to her new Bark Busters Puppy Management training programme thanks to the dedication of her owners. She is a work in progress with steps being taken towards having her 100% house trained as our next goal.

A POETIC TESTIMONIAL

Chaos reigned with my pooch gone astray

And weary of his demanding, growling, tugging ways

My hair greyed, nerves frayed

BARKBUSTERS arrived to save the day.

Phillip appeared in a mist of calm

He clarified, pacified and poured balm

Upon me and my wayward pooch and charmed

Us both, to sit and stay, with a sweep of his palm.

Now we exult, we come, we walk to heel

No more can be heard of my daily peal

"No!", "stop!", "eat your meal!"

as all has been replaced by an obedient zeal in my pooch, my friend, my ideal,

and perfect companion, Caspa

J. B, Pimlico, London

Caspa is a delightful 1 year old male Yorkshire Terrier, who had helped his owner tremendously through a difficult period of life adjustment. As a little hero he had been a stabilising influence during the months of turmoil. This extra responsibility carried with it certain stresses for Caspa. With the life challenges now diminishing, Caspa's owner wanted to reward his loyalty by improving his quality of life. We have reduced the responsibilities that were contributing to his stress. Caspa and his owner have now embarked on a new and rewarding chapter in their lives.

We started Tia on the natural food diet straight away and have noticed a huge improvement in her mood and body functions. Other issues are well on the way to being corrected & everyone noticed a difference. After just one session she is calmer and mores settled and we have every confidence she will become the perfect dog over time.

K & B. K, South Croydon, Surrey

Tia is a delightfully spirited female Boxer bitch with an amazingly characterful personality. When Bark Busters therapist Phillip Gazzard was first consulted, Tia was showing signs of food related hyperactivity, but her owners have taken a careful look at her nutrition requirements and made some adjustments to her feeding regime and the hyperactivity has subsided. She is responding well to her new Bark Busters training regime which so far has resolved the barking and the pulling on the lead. We are now working on calming her exciteability when meeting other dogs with attentiveness training and distance control training. Well done to Tia so far thanks to the comittment and dedication of her loving owners.

Within 1 hour of working with Phillip, Lucy's behaviour improved. He is most professional and accomplished in his technique.

Mr J. W-P, Priory Vale, Wiltshire

Lucy is a 2 month old Labradoodle puppy, with a spirited and confident personality. Lucy is a work in progress and is responding to the leadership and boundaries which her devoted owners are putting in place. Further work will include initiatives to improve her attentiveness and recall as well as ongoing obedience.

  • Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger
  • Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks
  • Pulling on the Lead

After the first session, controlling my dog has been so much easier. I would have started this training months ago if I would have known to have such a great effect.

L. S, Clapham, London

Bronx is a wonderfully loyal 14 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, who had previously misinterpreted his role within the pack manifesting in some aggressive behaviour towards other dogs as well as jumping up on people and pulling on the lead. Bronx has responded beautifully to the new boundaries which Bark Busters Behaviourist - Phillip Gazzard has been establishing with Bronx's devoted owner. Bronx is a lovely well natured dog who really wants to please. He is a work in progress and at his next Bark Busters training we will be focusing on distance control and attentiveness at the park.

We found the session really helpful and interesting and have learned a lot, some of it almost a revelation. Phillip's enthusiasm has made us want to work on the problems which we have with our dogs.

Mrs D. H, Enfield, London

Riley is a 4.5 year old male German Shepherd Cross, and Tigger is an 18 month old female Lurcher Cross. They are both lovely dogs, but had misinterpreteed their roles within the pack which was resulting in an escalation of fear based aggression which had culminated in a bite incident. After the first training session, correct pack order has been established resulting in increased confidence and a calmer environment for dogs and owners alike. Further training has been scheduled to ensure that the new boundaries and well-being of the pack is maintained.

We are very pleased with the service. The trainer has been so helpful answering questions, giving us confidence, putting into place systems that are working. We've already seen a difference in Piper. The trainer has been great at explaining what is going on to our daughter too!

D & K. G, Banstead, Surrey

Piper is a delightful 1 year old male Cocker Spaniel who is exciteable but very eager to please. Prior to consulting Bark Busters, Piper was presenting some challenging behaviour including aggression to other dogs, chewing, pulling on the lead and did not come back when called. Piper is now a work in progress with huge improvements in his attentiveness. He no longer postures aggressively towards other dogs and the pulling on the lead and chewing has been resolved. Recall training is now underway
