What our clients say about Phillip Gazzard
Dog Obedience Trainer & Behavioural Therapist
The whole family were amazed at how quickly Mollie responded to Phillip's techniques. At only 6 months, Mollie was thriving to be "Top Dog" and only within a few hours the home is a much more calmer place! We have a long way to go yet but already am excited at seeing her amazing progress. Phillip is very dedicated and we are looking forward to working with him more. Thank you.
Miss K. G, Norwood, London
Mollie is a 5 month old female Border Collie who was adopted into a family with two other dogs: Jade who is an 8 year old German Shepherd bitch and Chico who is a 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier dog. Mollie's devoted owner was facing difficulties integrating Mollie into the pack, with rivalries escalating between the dogs. Mollie also had a tendency to chase cars required general obedience training for lead walking and jumping up. Having completed her first training session with behaviourist Phillip Gazzard, Mollie is already responding beautifully. The family are now enjoying a harmonious integration with a calm and content pack, and Mollie is enjoying her new found obedience as a means of pleasing her owner. Well done Mollie and Kayleigh.
I was pulling my hair out as I spoke to so many dog trainers and they all seemed to have different and mad ways of teaching a puppy. That was before I was lucky enough to find the Bark Busters website. We have only had our first session so far and already things have improved. Our puppy is almost toilet trained, he sleeps through the night, and he was even introduced to my two cats which went well. Phillip taught us so much about dogs in general, it was a great first session and I have already recommended Bark Busters to friends. Phillip even phoned me the following day to see how things were going. As long as owners are committed to do the homework and follow the program given by the therapist, then bark Busters are the best. In our eyes it was money well spent.

Vinnie is a 12 week old curiously natured Hungarian Viszla puppy. He has a wonderfully playful and confident personality. When I first arrived Vinnie was toileting randomly in the house, relentlessly attention seeking, harrassing the owners 2 cats and wouldn't settle down to the essential sleep that puppies need in order to grow into happy healthy adult dogs. Vinnie responded immediately to the kind, unique Bark Busters communication technique, and his owners breathed a big sigh of releif with smiles creeping into their faces as we finished up the session. They had been understandably distressed having sacrificed their own sleep for many days before the training. Vinnie is thoroughly enjoying his newly learned skills of how to please his owners in a calm submissive manner.
We have since completed his second obedience training session, preparing him for lead walking, sit and stay obedience and to resolve his inclination to jumping up. He is a work in progress and will continue to enjoy his training as we progress with his puppy management program. A big thanks to the commitment and devotion of his owners.
We cannot recommend Phillip & Bark Busters highly enough. Phillip's firm but calm approach worked wonders with our Chocolate Labrador -Duke. He responded almost immediately and since the sessions he has continued to improve. We are thrilled with the results.
Mrs G. B, Wandsworth, London
Duke is a wonderfully biddable, yet head strong and stubborn character. He has a big personality and loads of confidence. His main issues were excessive sniffing and foraging, pulling on the lead, jumping up and recall. Duke has been a joy to work with and a wonderful example of how a mischievous character can be completely transformed into a wonderfully obedient and entertaining dog with an adorable spirit. Well done to his devoted owners for their commitment to Duke and his training
Extremely professional, thorough and effective. I was so fed up with the approach (from other training companies) that you have to give your dog a treat to get them to do anything you want. I'm also very grateful for the focus on nutrition - it's all common sense, but it's amazing how an entire nation has been taken in by the pet food industry marketing.

Monty is a delightfully charming 15 week old male Show Cocker Spaniel with a fine pedigree and a loving and devoted family who want to ensure that Monty receives the most appropriate obedience training right from the get go. Being the ever confident puppy he had a tendency towards play biting, barking, jumping up and pulling on the lead. Monty has now completed the first of his Bark Busters puppy management training lessons and responded immediately, with a cessation of the play biting and jumping up, and is now walking beautifully on the lead without pulling as he trots proudly alongside his owner. He is a work in progress and will be progressing on to recall training at the next session. Well done Monty!
Excellent training and information. Belle responded very well and has developed into a very well behaved dog. Looking forward to letting her roam free very shortly.
Mrs M. J, East Barnet, Herts
Belle is a delightfully biddable 10 month, Border Collie rescue dog. Her devoted new owner adopted her from a sanctuary who had rescued her from a farm where she had been roaming wild, with the prospect of almost certain euthanasia. Belle had been surviving rough for some time. Trust needed to be developed in the relationship with her new owner along with a training and behaviour modification programme. Belle has responded beautifully to the newly learnt leadership skills of her committed and loving owner, and she is now enjoying the safety and security of a bond made in heaven.
Brilliant results!

Muffin is a gorgeous 8 month old Jack Russell bitch who was given as a gift from daughter to mother, having recently lost their previous dog to old age. Bark Busters trainer Phillip Gazzard was consulted to help resolve inappropriate toileting indoors, as well as a propensity to jump up, and a resistance to walking on the lead. Muffin responded immediately to the training, and to the newly styled leadership of her devoted owner. She is on a fast track house-training programme using Bark Busters unique and revolutionary toilet training method. Muffin no longer jumps up, and is now walking proudly and perfectly to heel. Well Done!
The change in our dog was almost instant. Easy technique to follow with immediate results. We should have started years ago.
Mrs. L. W, Clapham, London
Benson is a 10mth old male Golden Retriever who prior to Bark Busters had developed an attention seeking habit of barking in the middle of the night and at random times throughout the day. He was also pulling on the lead, had poor attentiveness to his owner and unreliable recall. Within the first 3 hours of training, to his owners sheer delight, Benson responded immediately with a complete cessation to the barking, a transformation in attentiveness, and was now walking perfectly to heel on the lead. At the second training session we embarked upon recall and distance control exercises at the park which produced immediate results. Benson is still a work in progress with his training continuing under the guidance of Bark Busters behavioural therapist and trainer -Phillip Gazzard
Phillip clearly cares about our dog (Rufus) wellbeing. He is firm, kind and professional and has made my life much easier! Thank you Bark Busters and keep up the good work.

Rufus is a 4 month old cross spaniel/terrier puppy, with a lovely confident nature. His owners wanted to get it right from the very beginning to give Rufus the best up bringing. We have house trained him within 3 weeks and he is now progressing well with general obedience and lead walking. Rufus has just commenced his recall, attentiveness and distance control training and will be ready to be let off lead in 5 weeks time.
We had tried obedience classes before but found them to be unsuccessful. On the recommendation of our vet, we called in Phillip Gazzard from Bark Busters and began to see positive results literally within minutes.
Understanding dog psychology is critical to success and through Phillip's guidance, we now have a content, submissive Labrador who makes a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you Bark Busters.

Bingo is a 3 year old male Chocolate Labrador with a gentle nature, and a willful personality. Being a working dog he is highly intelligent and easily distracted by his scenting instinct. The issues that we have addressed include general obedience, attention seeking, stubbornness, recall attentiveness and distance control. Bingo responded rapidly to the Bark Busters training programme and after 4 visits is now a well behaved, calm and content dog, with a very proud family.
Phillip was clear and explained things in an academic manner that was perfect for the whole family. Karmalita listened immediately to him and it became clear that with time and training, the same response could be achieved with the family members. Initially hesitant that an old (8 yr old) dog couldn't learn new tricks, I am being convinced otherwise.
N. H, Maida Vale, London
Karmalita is an adorable 8 year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback, blessed with a loving family who want only the best for her wellbeing. Karmalita's principle owner, a student veterinarian, researched Bark Busters and called upon the services of Phillip Gazzard to resolve problematic aggression towards other dogs. Other problems addressed include separation anxiety, excessive sniffing and scavenging, coprophragia (eating poo), attention seeking and recall. Karmailita is a work in progress and is responding well to the new training regime.
