  • Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger
  • Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise
  • Pulling on the Lead
  • Recall or not coming when called

After only one session the behaviour of both our dogs improved dramatically. Our lurcher, Ellie is noticeably more relaxed and both dogs seem "relieved" not to have to be in charge any more. The next day whilst out walking the dogs, we met another dog. In the past this would have resulted in a very aggressive reaction from Ellie and anxiety barking from our terrier, Daisy. What a difference! Using the techiques Tina had shown us, Ellie didn't utter a sound and indeed wasn't really interested in the other dog, consequently, Daisy was more relaxed too. This alone will transform our dog walking life. We cannot recommend Tina and her techniques highly enough. So a huge thank you!

Mr and Mrs T H, Southborough, Kent

Ellie had taken over being aggressive when a previous companion dog died. She felt that she had to "protect" the pack from intruders! We worked the dogs separately at first then together in a "normal" walking situation. At a later session my own dog Finn acted as a "stooge" and we had a great session, allowing the owners to feel confident in their abilities to handle situations that would previously have had a poor outcome.

Having tried a couple of other trainers in the past (both with Monty and a previous dog), we were particularly impressed with Tina's approach. We liked the fact that the training focused on the psychology and the relationship between us and Monty, rather than using any sort of force, "scare tactics" or bribes. Most of all, we were astonished at the immediate results. Monty is not only behaving so much better, but is far more relaxed and happy.

Mr and Mrs J W, Ashford, Kent

Monty is a very intelligent working type dog and had used his intelligence to manipulate his owners to do his bidding! Once this was recognised and and training started, he very quickly accepted his new role and of course, is much happier listening and responding to commands and getting praised for good behaviour, rather than trying to train his owners!

Bailey responded extremely well to commands and has changed considerably immediately.

Mr and Mrs B W, Aylesham, Kent

Bailey has a sensitive nature and needs lots of situations where she can be encouraged and praised. She had developed concerns about the husband and needed quiet calm controlled work to give her more confidence. Lots of walking exercises were shown to get her to trust and focus on her owner.

Very clear instructions with explanations as to the why dogs/humans react as they do. Tina had total control of us all without any threats or intimidation. An extremely positive experience.

Mr and Mrs N H, Sevenoaks, Kent

Caspar a young cross breed had begun to get a bit too big for his boots! He was shown that he could get lots of praise for doing the right thing and learnt quickly not to jump up or pull on the lead. Techniques were shown on how to achieve good recall and he had already begun to understand during the session.

GSD Rescue Fosterer.

Surpassed my expectations - absolutely amazing. Instant results and I now have two calm, well-behaved dogs. They were rescued dogs due to be put to sleep for aggression! Tina is exceptional.

Email received from fosterer.

I had a wonderful day yesterday and I feel as though all the worry of whether Rex and Sasha would find homes, has been taken away - thank you very much!

Problem is, I don't want either of them to go.

I couldn't wait to get back down to Rex and what a different dog he was.

He stopped jumping up at the sides when I corrected him, sat nicely and waited for his food and after a couple of goes, remembered that I went first through doors.

I took him to see my male neighbour and he sat calmly ignoring him while I chatted - my neighbour was amazed at the difference.

But the best bit for me was that he walked almost perfectly to heel when I took him to the park. I only needed to turn him a few times to get him walking at heel. I even walked home along the main road instead of through the fields, because I felt so sure of him. BLISS and no aching parts.

Sasha is also greatly improved. I can now stop her from making a fuss in her crate when visitors arrive, and when I let her out, she calmly greets them with a wagging tail (they of course ignore her).

However, I need to do more work with her loose in the garden. She hears people coming before me, and I don't realise there is anyone there until she starts barking. She stops when I correct her a few times, but I need to stop her doing it in the first place. I will set up some practise situations.

Everyone has noticed the change in the dogs and I have told them all about Barkbusters, in paricular you, and hopefully the ones who are having problems with their dogs will contact you. I certainly have advised them to.

It feels so good to think that I might now be able to turn around some more so-called hopeless cases. I learnt so much yesterday and you know I can't thank you enough.

GSD Rescue have also asked me to thank you - they are amazed at what has happened in just 1 session with you. Two dog co-ordinators had written off both these dogs and said they were dangerous. Needless to say they no longer work for GSD Rescue.

I will spread the word about you even more, now that I have first hand evidence of how great this system is.

Keep up the good work and I'll speak to you in a couple of weeks.

Mrs D B, Sittingbourne, Kent

This lady takes in the worst case GSD's to foster them and help to rehabilitate them in the hopes that new homes can be found. Sasha 18 months old, was the victim of an abusive owner who used to "train" her by hitting her with a hammer. She was very aggressive to people especially strangers through fear of what might happen. We worked on calm clear confidence buidling work showing her that she could trust people again.

Rex was a large 18 month male who had been trying to protect a woman and 5 children from domestic violence, so he was very aggressive towards people, males especially. He was taught to focus on his fosterer and concentrate on commands and learn to trust the humans decisions and not make his own.

Happily, both dogs have now gone to new homes and instead of being put to sleep, will live long and happy lives.

I found the session most helpful and feel much happier and more confident that we will both benefit. I am glad Ihave chosen to do this.

Mrs P.S., Cliftonville, Kent

This boy was showing selective aggression to certain dogs and being quite strong was making walks unpleasant for his owner, he was also jumping up at visitors. We worked on his owner getting him to give more focus, both inside and out and will be continuing to work with his behaviour towards other dogs in subsequent sessions. However, he has already made great progress.

  • Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks
  • Pulling on the Lead
  • Recall or not coming when called

The session was very useful and informative. Tina was calm and authoratitive, whilst also being laid back and fun. Cocoa responded to the techniques really well and I'm looking forward to putting things into practice.

Ms L G, Oxted, Kent

A happy lively young dog, who just thought the whole wide world belonged to her! She needed to understand that the decisions she was making were not hers to make as they could be dangerous! We worked on showing her how to walk on a loose lead and that her jumping up at people was unwanted behaviour. More work needed, but she's well on the way to being a well behaved girl.

Very pleased with the outcomes of this initial session. Thank you Tina.

Mr P.C., Ashurst, Kent

This little dog was very demanding of attention and did not listen to commands. He pulled on the lead and although small is a "solid" dog which made walking not a pleasure! We concentrated on calm consistent training methods, getting him to focus and get lots of praise for responding. He is well on the way to being a more acceptable member of the household!

  • Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger

I feel the techniques will work and the dog will respond, it's going to be hard, but with Tina's guidance I'm sure I can do it. I hope so for the dog's sake.

Mrs S K, Dover, Kent

A lovely female terrier mix, who prior to being attacked by another dog, had been relaxed and friendly with other dogs when on or off lead. Following the attack she had become fearful and used defensive aggression to keep other dogs at bay. We worked on giving her owner more confidence and strategies to help when meeting other dogs. She has since reported a successful off lead (accidental!) meeting with another dog, which hasn't occurred for a long time. Still work to be done, but great progress so far.

We were really pleased in the way Sky responded so quickly and look forward to the next session.

Ms T M, Loose, Kent

A young dog who believed she had to take charge of movement in the home and was biting ankles when visitors moved. We concentrated on the owners showing Sky that she did not have to be on the alert all the time and that the owners were in control. She was an exhausted little dog and was shown that she could rest safely without fear.
