NAUGHTY English bull terrier Lugar is back in his master's good books after therapy saved him from the dog house.
The two year old mutt was making the life of his owner Dave Kelly a misery.
Lugar was ruling the roost at Dave's home in Warrington before Bark Buster therapist Tracey Callaghan came to the rescue.
Lugar's bad behaviour included:
- Biting staff at a boarding kennels.
- Barking round the clock.
- Snarling and lunging at passers-by.
- Going berserk near prams and bikes.
- Greeting guests by hurling himself at the front door and barking aggressively with hackles raised.
Dave, 30, who lives with his fiancee Nicola Butler, said: “Lugar really was impossible.
“I was seriously worried about what might happen and was particularly bothered that he might attack someone when I took him out for a walk.

“I would cross the road just to avoid people. The truth is Lugar took very little notice of me and would pull on the lead, run off if I let him off the lead and lunge at people or their dogs.
“He was no better at home, barking aggressively at anyone who passed the house or at the slightest noise. He was ruining our lives and I thought he would have to go. Tracey was our last chance.”
Tracey visited Lugar at home and within one session had taught him to respond to words of command. |
Dave said: “Tracey taught me how to get Lugar to respect me and how to show him that I was the boss. Lugar is a different dog now.”
