Puppy and Dog Training Bracknell, Slough, Maidenhead & Windsor

Dog Training Bracknell & Slough

Welcome to dog training Bracknell and slough, including Maidenhead and Windsor, my name is Jacquie Callaby, your local Bark Busters dog behaviour therapist and trainer for over 18 years. I have helped thousands of dogs and their owners overcome behaviour problems and I am confident that whatever the problem I will be able to help you.

If you're reading this, you might have one or more behaviour problems with your dog. No dog is beyond help, no matter the problem, age or breed. I can help you to rebuild a great relationship with your dog once more.

I will help you to resolve common behaviour problems such as barking, jumping up, recall, digging, chewing, pulling on the lead, or more complex problems such as aggression to people or other animals, sibling rivalry or separation anxiety, to name just a few. I will tailor the training to your dog and you, demonstrating how and why your dog's behaviour will change for the better. You will have the opportunity to practise your new training skills while I'm there so that you are confident that you can continue to implement the training plan.

If you are looking for professional dog training near you in Bracknell or Slough, then you have found the right place. I work on a one-to-one basis in your home with all the family or anyone who is involved with your dog. The home is where your dog spends most of the time and your dog is more receptive to leaning, less stressed and with less distraction. I help you to understand the reasons why your dog is showing the unwanted behaviour and show you simple, kind, calm techniques to start the process of change. Most of the training is incorporated within your daily walks or setting aside just 15 to 20 minutes daily to practice the techniques. Even by setting aside just a few 5-minute sessions daily, will produce great results. Most dog owners see a big change during our first lesson too. You also have the peace of mind that I will return free of charge to provide ongoing support for the period of the support guarantee that you purchase.

My lessons are packed full of information and activities so that you feel you have plenty of training games to keep the progress on track. You will receive lots of written information and follow-up training tips to help you on your journey to a better dog. It is important to me that both you and your dog thoroughly enjoy the training programme and have fun with the games, and you get the best value possible from my training programme.

Whether you have welcomed a rescue dog, or a new puppy or added another dog to your family and issues have developed, I can help show you how patience, consistency, and your newly learned kind, calm methods of speaking their language, will allow you to understand your dog's behaviour and have the methods to redirect them to the wanted behaviours you seek.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for a no obligation chat about how I can help and support you and your dog.

About me

My early life involved plenty of dogs. My mum and grandmother ran a grooming and boarding kennels, so I was kept very busy during my school holidays, enjoying helping to walk and play with the dogs and clean out the kennels. I even entered Junior Handling competitions and found myself at Crufts with a lovely Boxer dog called Flake. I didn't win, but I have lovely memories.

I found Bark Busters after working in the banking industry after my education but after 24 happy years I wanted a change of direction. I was given the opportunity to change my working life after accepting voluntary redundancy. I then found Bark Busters and they ticked all the boxes. I could see right away that their approach to dog training and behaviour, centred around how dogs naturally communicate, was unique and the results were amazing. A worldwide company, with great back-office support too. It was an easy decision to make and I've never regretted a moment of my time with Bark Busters, and their family of friendly therapists and trainers.

Soon after joining Bark Busters, Miller found me. He was a very handsome Sprocker who had jumping up and mouthing issues, so I had plenty of work practicing my newfound skills. He was with me until the age of 15 and was a real character. I now have two mini–Dachshunds, Harley age 4 and Pepper age 3.  Although small, they do need mental and physical activities whilst taking into consideration their little legs and long back. They are very personable and clever dogs, and both keep me active, training at Hoopers, a flat agility running through hoops, and scent work too. Harley very cheekily tries to "mark" a scent that's not there to get his reward.
