meet your specialist trainers David and Anthony Swindells
Dog Behaviour Therapist and Dog Training Nottingham
Hi I'm David, Bark Busters Dog Training Nottingham - Lincoln. I went into dog training professionally after owning dogs for many years and having problems with a number of dogs myself. When I had difficulty with dogs I found that everybody had advice but none of it worked for my dogs. I bought training books and spent a fortune on various recommended dog training equipment which promised to fix the problem looking for the quick fix to my dogs problems, but they all stopped working after a while. I got used to other dog owners looking at me as they walked past with their well behaved dog whilst I struggled to keep mine under control - believe me I've been there!!
I wish I had found the Bark Busters behavioural methods then!
Aggression to people, dogs and cats, jumping up, barking, pulling and lunging on the lead, not coming back when called and just plain behaving badly are all problems that the system can stop in a gentle, effective and permanent way. The system works by finding out why your dog acts the way it does and then showing you how to alter your dog's behaviour in a way he will understand, using voice tone and body language, and seeing you as the leader and wanting to please you. It really does work well and quickly as you can see from my client's comments. The additional peace of mind of the 12 months or life of the dog guarantee is a great reassurance for you. If you find problems reoccurring or other problems developing then you have ongoing support from me (unlike all that expensive quick fix equipment I bought!).
Checking out my webpage is the first step to correcting your dog's behaviour - now take the next step and send me an email or phone me and we can start to work together to get the dog you want.
The training was fabulous! From the moment Anthony began speaking to us about the whole process we had confidence in both his abilities as a trainer and teacher. We learnt a lot about dogs in general, our own dogs and communication skills between us and them. Anthony's approach was very professional but incredibly kind. He put us at ease straight away but at the same time helped us to understand that our commitment is vital. He gave us the confidence to try out the necessary techniques, praising us and helping us tweak our practice with patience and not a hint of him being patronising! We saw some results immediately in our dogs and have continued to do so today! We were very very impressed by Anthony's knowledge, skills and clarity of communication to us. We feel that we (& our dogs ) are very lucky to have him. Thank you so much Bark Busters - we are on a very exciting journey together!J.C.30th January 2019
how we can help you and your furry friend
The Bark Busters communication methods help solve behaviour issues such as aggression towards people or other animals
- Cure embarrassing habits like barking, jumping up on people, scratching & whining at doors or inappropriate toileting.
- Create an obedient dog or puppy that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called.
- Set off-limit areas.
- Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.
We teach you to communicate with your pet.
Do you find yourself shouting? Do you think your pet isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking their language. The Bark Busters communication method is based on the way how our dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more experienced members in the pack. This is what makes our training unique and effective.
Why do we train in your home?
Your pet lives with a family, in a home. This is where he spends most of his time and misbehaves most often, so this is where our programme is most effective. Our dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches him to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will most probably not listen outside where there are far more distractions.
In your home we teach a one-on-one system without other distractions or the stress of being sent away from you to learn.
Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression etc..., we will set up controlled situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
