What dog owners are saying about us
We were really impressed and pleased at how Minnie reacted to the training. Alex's approach to the training made us feel at ease and was easy to understand and implement the skills. The transformation with Minnie from when he arrived to as he was leaving was amazing. She's not totally settled yet but with the techniques that Alex taught we don't think it'll take long.M.S., Swinton, Greater Manchester (Testimonial)31st August 2017
We had our first session today with Alex with our 3 year old Boxer dog Daisy. She had problems with excessive barking at any noise/people passing house/door knocking. She also had problems pulling on the lead and taking charge of the walk. Alex talked through all the issues and quickly shown us how to address these with Daisy. And I can honestly say after 3 hours of him being here we have seen a massive difference in Daisy with the techniques that Alex shown to us. We will keep these firmly in place and see Alex again in 2-3 weeks time. We wish we would have taken the plunge and done it sooner!!! Would really recommend to anybody who is having behavourial problems with their dog(s)!!!A.D., Withington, Greater Manchester (Testimonial)3rd December 2016
I had initially called Bark busters after a complaint from a neighbour about our Beagle's excessive barking. Bella was also suffering from separation anxiety. She was like a whirlwind, getting up to mischief e.g. chewing destroying things constantly, refusing to give items back without treats, jumping on chairs, crying then barking if one of us went out of the room. We had avoided having visitors as we were unable to stop her constant barking. We were all feeling very stressed and out of our depth. Little did we realise our dog was stressed to! I had attended dog/training obedience classes for almost 9 months but stopped recently as I felt that we weren't tackling the behaviour problems. Alex the therapist was just brilliant! He was able to read Bella straight away, explaining why she was demonstrating certain behaviours. Alex stayed with us for almost 3 and half hours, he was patient with us and Bella who responded to him immediately, she even lay at his feet! Alex showed us some very simple but effective techniques to use to improve Bella's behaviour, which would also raise our pack status with Bella. He explained that if we did this dealing with the separation anxiety would be easier. We could see a change in Bella during our first training session. Alex recommended a harness, which has worked wonders on the walk as Beagle's love to sniff everything! Our walks are now a workout for Bella and a pleasure for us all. The change in Bella has been amazing from day 1, she stopped all her destructive and hyperactive behaviour... we now have a dog who is calm and happy and is just behaving like a dog. She listens to us, she doesn't feel the need to bark to get attention, but if she barks we can stopped her very quickly. We can all leave the room and she is not bothered, I can go upstairs and leave the stair gate open. She will take herself off into another room and just busy herself chewing her deer antler (which was also recommended by Alex). She just behaves! It's a miracle! Peace and harmony has come at last! It is like a great weight has been lifted off our shoulders.. we can now really enjoy our furry friend. I would highly recommend Alex, he has given us the knowledge to understand our dog and give her what she really needs. I am sure Bella is thanking him to and saying thank goodness my pack are in charge and I can relax and just be a follower.A.T., Radcliffe, Lancashire (Testimonial)7th April 2016
We would highly recommend Alex Fraser, the trainer after having our first training session with our nervous golden retriever Benjy last weekend I can't believe the difference already in a few days. After years of struggling to walk our dog on a lead as he is scared of noises such as traffic etc, Benjy will now walk without pulling (on quiet roads for now after just one session) on a harness and lead that Alex recommend using techniques shown. Alex also shown some useful tips at home that can teach Benjy that we are the 'boss'. we were also advised of very useful food facts and ways to keep our dog on a healthy diet. Definitely worth the money, thanks again Alex and we look forward to our next training session!L.A., Pendlebury, Lancashire (Testimonial)11th January 2016
Ralph & Bertie have come on so much following our training days with Alex. Ralph was a particular problem especially off the lead with other dogs. Both dogs were also becoming increasingly difficult to walk on the lead. With the use of Alex's training techniques and the Bark Buster training collar and lead my dog walks have become much less stressful! The best tip from Alex for me was gaining control in the house first. Being in charge of the dogs in the home makes outside training easier. This really worked for me! We have just returned from a weekend at the caravan. Ralph and Bert behaved brilliantly! Still some 'Bahing' from me but really happy! Thanks Alex!G.B., Swinton, Greater Manchester (Testimonial)21st July 2015

Alex was really helpful in every way. Explaining the different techniques to use to control Bella, as she is adopted. Pulling on lead technique shown to me, it has been a week since I’ve used the technique shown to me and Bella does not pull much on the lead and stays by my side. In house training still needs a little more working on. But I am sure I will get there with Alex’s help. Overall I am satisfied with the training.

Alex listened to all our concerns regarding jack's aggression towards other dogs. We did some training in the house and garden. Alex brought out his cuddly labrador toy and Jack reacted with aggression towards it. We went out for a walk with Jack and he behaved very well for Alex. We passed only a few people with dogs and Jack Didn't react? Alex has given us tips and training methods which we are working on and have seen a slight improvement in Jack.

Alex was great, we now have the tools to start taking command of our dogs and to get them listening. Pete is particularly aggressive and Alex was able to bring them down and I was amazed how they settled within a couple of hours training. I found it very useful and will be enforcing what we have been taught today. Having 2 young dogs who can be aggressive has proven very difficult for us as they bounce off each other, we have been able to get them to listen and I am amazed how simple tools can be so effective. I am looking forward to seeing Alex again for the next steps in our training.

Alex came to help train me and my dog Casper, he’s a one year old cocker spaniel, I can honestly say I’m amazed, he’s like a different dog, I’ve been working with Cas everyday since Alex came and he is doing things I never thought he would do. He stays at the bottom of the stairs with no barking and watches me go up instead of pushing past me and his walks are a pleasure now as he walks to heel. Thanks to Alex’s training I can’t wait to take him out now. He sits at the side of the road till I say. He doesn’t bark as much but that is a work in practice. I am so thankful for Alex he is truly amazing. I’m so happy I paid for a years gaurentee so I can call Alex when I’m ready to move on to no lead and recall.thank you Alex I would recommend you in a heart beat.also Casper no longer jumps up at people or me when I come in the door.

We found Alex's training and assessment of the situation very helpful. Previously we had attended puppy classes where we found the explanations somewhat vague and non specific and as we ran into issues with barking we were getting conflicting information from lots of sources. Alex clearly showed us by example the best way to deal with our puppies behaviour and how to show him passive leadership. He also had a very holistic approach helping us identify what in our puppies environment and daily life could be causing the problems we were having to worsen. We ended the session with specific direction and actions to take which was great, and we felt more empowered than we had in ages. Following the session we followed Alex's advice and have changed the way we deal with our puppy to try and help him be less stressed.

Excellent . Really pleased with the results . I was left with plenty of information to work with . I was very anxious at first due to my dogs behaviour and at the end of the first session I felt more relaxed .
This was a great session. I love the challenge of working with nervous dogs who are protective of their home. I will never rush a session and it’s crucial that we take it at the dogs pace. By the end of the initial session, there was no barking when I entered the house which was a great result! Looking forward to catching up in a few weeks to see how he is doing.

Was lovely to meet Alex today. He is a knowledgeable trainer who explains what works (and why) and what doesn’t. He also tells you what you are already doing right or where you are making mistakes. We have 2 young dogs and he very quickly figured out their personalities and tailored the training to suit each dog which was great for us. We are so confident that Alex can teach us, that we immediately signed up for further training and can’t wait to see Alex again in a few weeks.
2 lovely young Retrievers! Both quite excitable and strong, so walking them wasn’t easy, especially for one person to walk them on their own. By the end of the first training session, both dogs were listening to their family and walking much better on their leads. Although we achieved a lot in the initial 3 hour session, follow up support can be really beneficial to build on the training and to ensure their family get things right.
looking forward to catching up with them all in a few weeks.

I was amazed how quickly Alex had my two dogs responding and was very grateful for his advice how to stay pack leader. We spent some time discussing the behaviour of my dogs and how I reacted. His advice made a lot of sense and made me realise that I was also part of the problem.
2 lovely dogs, but there was some underlying tension between them. They both responded really well to the training session today and I am so pleased that their owner is back in charge of her pack! Keep up the good work
