Tina Edwards dealt with: Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Pulling on the Lead

Very satisfied with the training Tina Edwards gave. She took time and trouble to explain feeding and training. I learned a lot and will now carry on putting into practise all I was taught. My dog really enjoyed the session and so did I. Didn't realise how easy it was to train a dog with a quiet voice and gentle handling. Well done Bark Busters.

Trainer note from Tina:
A very sweet natured girl, who seemed to have been used as for puppy breeding and rehomed when no longer wanted. A lucky girl to have found a lovely home and although she had a few issues, the main one being chasing the resident cat, she responded very well and we were able to get her to behave better with the cat at the first session.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs and animals or barking for attention or at noises Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Pulling on the Lead

Although the fee for this training initially seems high, I can honestly say from our first session with Tina I now have no qualms about what we've paid. Tina herself was lovely, extremely informative and easy to talk to/understand. Although Rhodey and Dave are having ongoing training, the changes (in Rhodey especially) are amazing!!! He now is actually a joy to walk for one and although he is still a pup is so much calmer in himself! A big thankyou to Tina and we are looking forward to addressing his other problems.

Trainer note from Tina:
A young male dog, already large at only a year, Rhodey was beginning to "throw his weight around"! I showed his owners how to take control of him without using any physical methods like leads or holding collars etc and we got him walking calmly. He had been so difficult to walk he had not been out for some time. Dave is actually more difficult! The smaller and older of the two who needs work, but in the second session we had him walking on a loose lead for the first time in his life!

Tina Edwards dealt with: Destructive chewing that results in destruction of furniture, woodwork etc Digging Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Pulling on the Lead

Charlie started to respond to the training in the first lesson; we have seen a big change in him. He is 60% better on the lead and he is much calmer in the house. There has been no jumping up on coffee tables etc and and he stops being naughty when I correct him, also I can stop him from jumping up at people when they arrive. We still have a lot to do, but I'm so pleased with the result so far as he is respecting me more too.

Trainer note from Tina:
Now that Charlie understands what his owner wants, he is happy and wants to please them. Lots of praise, encouragement and guidance has helped him to "listen" to commands and enjoys the one to one attention during training.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs and animals or barking for attention or at noises Hyperactivity Pulling on the Lead Recall or not coming when called

We started to see a difference in the first hour. Tina was very informative on all aspects of ownig a dog. Really looking forward to the next session.

Trainer note from Tina:
A young dog, found as a stray and now very nervous of the outside world. Her fear shows itself as aggression and extreme hyperactivity when on lead and a desire to escape and run away. Inside she improved rapidly, but outside will take time, patience and calm behaviour to help her to overcome her fears and trust her owner's decisions. She will be well worth the effort.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Hyperactivity Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Pulling on the Lead

I felt Tina explained things very well. It was very benificial to have so much time doing practical training with her here. Our dog has responded very well and is already it's already making a difference.

Trainer note from Tina:
A young girl, rather excitable especially with the young children in the home. She used to enjoy leaping up and grabbing arms in her mouth! We taught her that this behaviour was not acceptable and taught her to listen to and respect the humans in the household rather than treat them like young dogs like herself!

Tina Edwards dealt with: Barking at people, dogs and animals or barking for attention or at noises Pulling on the Lead Recall or not coming when called

The session was great and the therapist was fantastic. I could highly recomend her and Bark Busters to anyone.

Trainer note from Tina:
This boy was barking and always wanted the "last word"! We tackled this first and had a great result, then moving on the the other areas that needed work, he walked well, but still needs more work for recall.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Pulling on the Lead Recall or not coming when called

After three years of having my arm almost yanked out of it's socket on my daily walk with Jake, my labrador, I was amazed that after just one session he was walking perfectly - and still is a month later. Still a bit of work to do on his habit of rushing to greet every person/horse/jogger/other dogs, but I'm very hopeful!

Trainer note from Tina:
A big chunky labrador, but with a lovely character, just not understanding his role in the home or on walks! We worked on general obedience and his focus and acceptance that his owner makes the decisions not him! We then started leadwork which he took to really well, responding happily to keeping next to his owner on a loose lead.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Hyperactivity Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Recall or not coming when called

We really enjoyed meeting Tina and had a very positive morning with her. She was extremely helpful and we are confident in great results. We look forward to keeping in tough with her.

Trainer note from Tina:
A delightful, cheeky young dog, full of life and fun, but running off and not responding to recall causing huge anxiety and worry for her owners. Also a very lively girl demanding lots of attention. We worked on her listening to her owners taking into account her young age and showed her what was wanted. She loved her training getting loads of praise which she adored! She'll not lose her cheekiness, which is part of her charm, but will listen and therefore be safe.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs and animals or barking for attention or at noises Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Pulling on the Lead

It got to the point where I dreaded taking Poppy out for a walk or having visitors round. She had become aggressive and unpredictable. Now I feel there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm so happy that we contacted Tina, she showed us the training in a light and friendly manner and did not make us feel stupid for all the istakes that we'd been making. I look forward to Tina's next visit.

Trainer note from Tina:
I noticed early on in the session that Poppy pulled away from a gentle stroke down her back and on investigation, following a visit from a physiotherapist, old trauma was found and although this had healed she had bad memories and her body was sensitive. We are working on helping her to "unlearn" the aggressive behaviour to show her that interaction with dogs and people won't hurt her. That and massage should help her body and mind repair completely.

Tina Edwards dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs and animals or barking for attention or at noises Pulling on the Lead

Since the first session Buddie is responding well to recall and who is "the leader of the pack". I have changed her food which she has welcomed. Short lead work going well. Barking in the garden also improved. Had first encounter with another dog whilst out and off lead also a marked improvement despite the initial dash by her towards another dog but responded to my recall.

Trainer note from Tina:
A very sweet natured girl who was confused about who should be making decisions! The session involved work in home and garden and short and long lead work showing her how to behave with other dogs in a more sociable way.
