Cambridge Dog Training and Behaviour Therapist
Welcome to dog training Cambridge, I am Tim, your local Bark Busters dog behaviour therapist and trainer. My programme is simple to follow and is based on the way dogs communicate with each other, using voice tone and body language. My dog training gives you fast, effective, and long-lasting results and in most cases, you will see a difference in the way your dog responds to you in the very first lesson. After the first lesson, I will develop an individual, personalised plan for your dog and your specific issues, and I will continue to support you, at no extra cost, until you are happy with the results. Our unique support guarantee gives you peace of mind, knowing that I will return free of charge to provide further help and support. Please check the reviews and testimonials for confirmation.
I've helped many people to improve their relationship with their dogs. If you are struggling with your dog's behaviour, there is a tendency to just put up with it. However, our relationship and bond with our dogs can be improved with the right approach using gentle, fun training techniques, that replicate real life situations or problems that are currently impacting on your enjoyment of your dog.
If you are looking for professional dog training near you, then you have found the right place. My programmes leverage the natural communication techniques that dogs instinctively follow, using voice tone and body language. Dogs see the world in a very different way to us humans, so it’s understandable that we sometimes find that the dog we hoped would be a great addition to the family, has become unruly, noisy, destructive, or seemingly unpredictable in some way. Our dogs are just seeing the world in a canine way, so it is important for us to learn how to effectively communicate. That’s where I can help you.
I love my work and meeting new people every day. My lessons are fun and developed and adapted over 34 years by the many Bark Buster behaviour therapists and trainers around the world. Watching dog owners rebuild their relationships and watching their dogs changing in front of their eyes, into focused and responsive members of the family, gives me huge satisfaction. It’s great working with experienced dog owners too, and when people bringing home a new puppy or rescue dog for the very first time to join the family and showing them how to ensure their new family member has the very best start in life.
If you are having issues such as boisterousness, excessive barking, separation anxiety, aggression, toilet accidents, resource guarding, pulling on the lead, sibling rivalry, destruction, lack of recall and more, or if you would like to make sure your puppy has the best education and start in life, I can tailor a training programme to suit you. So please do make contact to find out how I can help.
I grew up with a variety of black Labradors as family pets, then travelled and lived abroad working in the tourist industry for many years, but my job prevented me from giving a dog the time and attention that it would deserve. Moving back to Cambridge, close to family, I settled in my own home and along came Hazel a chocolate Labrador puppy. I so wish I’d known the Bark Busters method in her early years. She was a strong puller and destroyed so much of my home, I often despaired of being able to enjoy her fully. She is now an elderly lady and is happy to sleep, eat (she is a Labrador after all) and enjoy her gentle exercise.
I’ve always loved all animals and have volunteered with the RSPCA, walking dogs, cleaning out pens and kennels, often sad at the number of animals that were being cared for. Another charity that I help is working with pet owners who are struggling to keep them, and with help and assistance, providing advice, vet care or behavioural training, we have helped many people.
My own home, as well as Hazel, is also a home for rescue Guinea pigs and some Quails, and both my neighbours and I enjoying the eggs.
