Before Jo came to see us, I had been sleeping on the sofa as Gizmo would not settle in the night without me being near. Jo spent 4 hours with us, first asking us questions about our daily routines and what we feel the issues were and then she preceded to show us how to train Gizmo and get him settled of a night time. That day Jo left, my husband and I managed to sleep in the bedroom for the first time in 2 weeks, Gizmo was really happy to sleep outside the bedroom door and did not whine or bark throughout the night. We are still working on the other tasks that Jo left us with i.e recall and "watch me" which he is picking up really well. When we take Gizmo walking we have had quite a few comments of how well behaved he is for his age and his breed (Siberian husky) we are so grateful for Jo coming over that day and we look forward to seeing her throughout the year.

These owners did all the right preparation and planning for their Husky puppy including buying a crate for Gizmo. Most puppies suffer a from separation anxiety when they first leave their siblings and a crate can be a great "safe place" to help a puppy feel secure. However, in some cases crates don't work which is why his owners had weeks of trying different ways to settle Gizmo. In Gizmos case there is a small hallway where he can be safely enclosed behind a baby gate without panicking when his owners leave him. This may seem an obvious solution but it is not just a case of moving a puppy. It is creating the right environment and then educating him and so he can cope on his own. This is not a quick fix and is part of a whole education process which his owners are doing so that he can be confident and happy. Gizmo is now well on his way to being a well behaved and trained dog his owners can be proud of.

Our two dogs are very different personalities and both were dominating our home and walks. After two sessions our home feels like our own again and we are enjoying walks so much more.
We are working on our Beagle's recall using a lunge lead and had to take him off it unexpectedly and to our amazement Alan was more focused on us and kept coming back with ease.
We are really pleased with the progress we've made so far, thank you Lee!

Our Labrador Emma had pups 7 weeks prior to joining us. She is 18 months - 2 years old and as a young dog requires attention which she hadn't received.
Your therapist explained in detail how to train and enjoy our dog. We explained to him that although we had Labradors for the last 25 years each one is an individual.
The session with Andy was excellent. He took his time to explain the finer points needed for our dog who is just starting to understand commands - We look forward to next visit

Training was ok, but we only came across two friendly dogs, which ran away from us. Our main problem is dogs following us, and coming right up to us.

In this case the training is both for the owner and the dogs as both are lacking confidence in dealing with off lead dogs approaching and invading their space. The dogs need to have confidence in their owner so that they don't over react and the owner needed some advice on how to act to keep the situation under control and her own dogs calm.

Alex came to help me train my young border collie in early June this year. He was able to provide helpful guidance and ideas which were individually tailored to our situation. We have been able to start with the strategies to improve my 'leadership' role. These simple steps within the house were quickly achieved and have had a real impact! Since his first visit Alex has kept in touch and returned for several more visits and we have progressed to new ways of training on the lead. Alex has always been 'hands-on' ; we have carried out training in my garden and out on walks. After each session Alex leaves notes and hand outs - really helpful as there is a lot to learn.
It is really reassuring knowing that Bark Busters provides on-going support because obviously dog training can not be achieved in just one session. Alex is always practical and encouraging, his experience with dogs has been invaluable!

I have really enjoyed working with them both and I am impressed with the effort they have both put in, which has resulted in wonderful results. I will continue to support them as there is still some work to be done in regards to walking her border collie down busy roads - but we will get there!!

I can't praise Kevin enough from having 3 excitable Gordon Setters to 3 calm relaxed but still fun loving dogs.
Kevin was very easy to talk to. Everything that was done and said was so simple but wow the effect is amazing.

Training highlighted the fact that what I thought was clever behaviour from my dog was actually him pulling the strings. I have taken this on board and am now leading. Whilst his barking can still be a problem I am sure that, in time, I will control this unacceptable behaviour, by following Bark Buster's advice. I was very impressed with Neil Price.

It was a real pleasure to work with this dog, and his owner. He is clearly a nervous dog who needs guidance and support, to help him with his issues. However, I think that he has the right owner for the job, because it was obvious immediately that his owner wanted to help him with his issues and was prepared to do the work needed.

I wish I had discovered Bark Busters years ago! I love my dogs more than anything but they were in complete control of everything and totally ruling the roost.
After just one session with Lee, They are 100% better, including being generally much better behaved in and out of the house and I finally feel in control! One of my dogs is nervous aggressive and I didn't think anything would stop his bad behaviour towards other dogs, but he's improved amazingly well! I couldn't recommend this training enough!!

Jo was wonderful and very supportive she spent ages with us and highlighted the different issues that Barney had. Unfortunately my Barney died on the 1st of July most likely due to a brain tumour which caused his behavioural problems. Jo is truly amazing xx She is a guardian angel who helped us all in our hour of need. Barney was a very unique dog and his case was very distressing but Jo was with us through our journey and we can't thank her enough for that!!

These owners come into the "super special owner category". They took Cocker Spaniel Barney on from a Rescue and were his fourth owners. Unlike all the others who sent him right back they got help for his problems which were numerous and included obsessive compulsive behaviour, destruction, guarding, separation anxiety and aggression. Unfortunately his behavioural issues were related to a serious medical issue and despite the best efforts of all involved these issues could not be overcome. Cases like this are rare and are very upsetting and distressing for all concerned, but these owners were brilliant with Barney and enabled a very ill dog to live out his final days with a loving and caring family. Although the final outcome was sad I count myself as fortunate to have been involved and able to help this wonderful family.
