Over the past few years there definitely been an increase in the number of home dog trainers and I think it is so important that customers should do their research to find the right trainer for them. They need to be able to put the owner at ease and ensure they know what to do to ensure their dogs listen better and if necessary, worry less. I always enjoy working with the owners as much as I enjoy working with their dogs. And I have already had feedback to say that they have already seen massive improvements in the way she is behaving and she is far more relaxed when they have guests.

We reached out to Bark Busters for help with our very boisterous, demanding dog and his sister whose behaviour had started to take over our home, with lots of barking, pulling, and general chaos! From the moment Gavin arrived, we felt at ease. Even though it was an evening appointment, he never rushed. He took his time to observe, ask questions, and most importantly, explain why we were seeing the behaviours we were seeing and why he was asking us to try different commands and actions. That really helped me buy into the programme. Gavin provided us with a personal written report, tailored specifically to us and our dogs, along with a pack of supportive documents to guide us between sessions. What really stood out was how understanding he was, there was no judgement, just reassurance and practical advice. He recognised how easily things can escalate into chaos and gave us the tools and confidence to start turning things around. We’ve only had our first session, but I already feel so relieved that we reached out for help. We’re looking forward to showing Gavin the progress we know we can make before he returns in 5 weeks!

From the 1st visit Ben was very friendly. He listened to our concerns with our 2 dogs and even witnessed some of them. A clear plan was done and emailed to me to ensure I could refer back to it. We still have some way to go but after 2 weeks we have a much calmer house. Both dogs are more settled and their behaviour has improved. I really thought i would have to consider getting rid of one of my dogs but Ben has given me the tools to gain control back. He is always calm and professional and has been a godsend giving me the confidence to have calm happy dogs.

14th August 2025 - Ben Jordan

So far only had one lesson with Ben but already seeing positive change in my two dachshunds puppies. Ben was available to visit us literally days after my contact through Bark Busters. He spent over 3 hours with us on day 1. Went through some essential theory, asked a lot of questions and made a ton of notes. Then we moved to practice where Ben showed us what to do, how to do it and why. Both dogs reacted to him in a positive way. It’s been a week since the first lesson and we’re definitely seeing ton of positive changes! Needless to say we’re very impressed with Ben (and Bark Busters) and look forward to the next visit.
