There appears to be another puppy boom at the moment which I am really enjoying. All puppies have their challenges and they go though a massive amount of development in the first 12 to 18 months of their lives, but with the right training techniques, patience and consistency, we can always male them the best version of themselves. Can’t wait to catch up with them all in a few weeks to see how they are all getting on and to build on their training.

Alex dealt with Puppy Management
Had a fantastic first session with Alex. His enthusiasm and detail in the work he does is fantastic. We went over the way we’d want our new puppy to fit into our lives, and the type of behaviours we’d want to teach. I’m looking forward to the rest of the journey with Alex’s help.
Another week, another puppy. This is why I love my job. Meeting a puppy for the first time is always amazing, but watching them grow up and get them listening to their owners is even better. I have more job satisfaction from working with dogs over the past 12 years compared to any other job I have had. Can’t wait to catch up with them all this Friday.

Alex is great. Otis, my 2yr old GSD tried to floor him , ( nicely) as he came through the door. Alex handled it well. Working on it. It's less than a week in, and Otis is walking a lot better, I'm not being pulled from pillar to post, he's walking quite nicely by my side and with a loose lead. I can't wait to see how much more WE can learn. THANKS ALEX
In the past 12 years I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of GSDs, a number of which were nervous, resulting in them being over protective of their homes and their families. Otis on the other hand was a gentle giant, but he doesn’t appear to realise how big he is and he loves to jump up at friends and family entering his home. He can also be difficult to manage on lead when he becomes excited due to his size and strength. In order to teach any dog to work well to heel, it’s essential to get them listening to their owner around the home first when their dog is calm, so that the owner can start to refocus their dog when they become more adrenalised on a walk. Can’t wait to catch up with them both in a few weeks and we can do more heel work training and start to teach Otis recall.

Love working with puppies as I get to spend time with them and watch them grow, develop and learn, and the owner has to put the work in on a daily basis to ensure they make their dog the best version of themselves. In reality, there is no quick fix with a puppy, which is why follow up support is essential, as they go though a lot of change and development in the first 12 to 18 months of their life. Frankie did really well on his first training session, and I can’t wait to catch up in a few weeks to continue his training.

Great session and even though I know how our training can really help, even I was pleasantly surprised at how much calmer Esso was by the end of the first session. Can’t wait to catch up with them all soon.

From the first phone call with Alex we were really confident that he understood the issues we were experiencing with our 10 year old rescue miniature Schnauzer, Maggie. Our first lesson was very enlightening, enabling us to better understand both dogs' behaviours and how our behaviour influences theirs. Alex provided us with some no-nonsense advice and demonstrated the behaviours we should be expecting from the dogs. He gave us a good deal of confidence in our own abilities to work towards our desired outcomes without being judgemental about our current practices. The follow up notes were very comprehensive and were an excellent reflection of the time he spent with us, recapping the techniques to focus on and how we could measure success.
Great session with Maggie, her brother and their parents. It is important to try and identify the root cause of why dogs don’t listen or why they worry about things. Then with training (training the owners) and often some management, we can always make dogs listen better and worry less. It is also often difficult to resolve certain behavioural issues without looking at the bigger picture. Looking forward to catching up with them all next week.

Was lovely to meet Alex. He went though things for me to work on with waffle, as she's only a puppy. I wanted to put things in place for her, which Alex did.
Lovely meeting Waffle and Waffle’s owner. Overall Waffle did really well, but the reality is, there is no quick fix for training a puppy. Young puppies are puppies until they are about 6 months old, at which time they enter their teenage phase. Somewhere between 12 - 18 months they will become well behaved adults, if we get things right. My jobs is more about people training than dog training. Giving their owners the tools and skills to help make them the best versions of themselves. Looking forward to catching up with them both in a few weeks.

Luna is an amazing dog with massive potential who loves attention, but it soon became apparent she didn’t sleep enough on a daily basis which resulted in some rather challenging behaviours. By simply introducing some structure, ground rules and more sleep, sha has come on leaps and bounds, and I was delighted when they sent me some footage of her enjoying time off lead on a walk!

Alex was absolutely brilliant, he had great patience and respect for Boris and us, we would definitely recommend his training programme, our lives are already better as a family, 👍thank you Alex
Loved meeting Boris and his parents. After a rather noisy start from Boris who definitely loves attention, he definitely started to bark less when we worked his brain. Looking forward to catching up with them all.

Alex was brilliant!! He gave us clear and focussed advice and practical help. It was a pleasure to work with him and Rita responded really positively throughout the visit. Alex gave us lots to work on and there were some instant changes in Rita’s behaviour which we’ve been able to build on and maintain. Alex never made us feel like bad parents !!
I really love and appreciate how much owners love their dogs, and it’s therefore not surprising that so many dogs manage to wrap their owners around their big or little paws. But with a few small changes and some consistency it’s so easy to change the dynamic so that dogs start to listen better and worry less. I was really impressed with how well Rita did on her initial training session and I’m delighted that they have already seen improvements in her behaviour. Keep up the good work!
