We contacted Bark Busters as we were having a few issues with our German Shepherd dog (8 months old) he was VERY excitable when going for walks, pulled on the lead, barked at other dogs and people, chewed the lead. so we requested a little help. we arranged a time and date for Gavin to come and he exceeded expectations. Gavin arrived on time, was polite and very pleasant, he greeted everyone and explained how the session was going to work, he explained what we were going to do and the reason behind doing it, his instructions were clear and easy to understand, also happy to answer any questions we had. and gave great advice throughout the session. He was Calm and confident around our dog Jake even thought at first there was a big dog barking at him. he showed a calmness and care only people who have been around and care for animals have, Jake calmed and even sat with Gavin most the session. the 2nd part of the session was practical training on walking on the lead and stopping reactiveness, this was done by example, explanations and reasoning. he walked with Jake showed us the actions we should implement and explained why they worked. in a few hours we saw improvement in the areas we had asked for. we are learning as well as Jake is learning, and it was done in a friendly atmosphere that felt like a chat rather than a classroom training session. advice was given on behaviour, reactiveness, walking techniques, diet and food, it’s clear that Gavin knows what he's talking about, and genuinely wants to help. it’s a relaxed training environment with great information couldn't recommend it more, we look forward to the next session that’s booked.

Gavin was polite, friendly, knowledgable & confident with our 3 pooches. He was here for 3hrs in the evening and was in no rush to complete our first session. Gavin left us with sufficient information to make gentle inroads into our training & I believe after just over a week, we are seeing changes in the behaviours of all 3 dogs.

Absolutely fantastic the best thing I’ve ever done. Gavin was brilliant in every way.

Gavin was really informative and it was nice to have a trainer come to the house and not feel judged by our dogs behaviour. We've been contemplating raw diets for our dogs for a while but with Gavin's advice he gave us the confidence that it was the right thing to do for our dogs. Gavin took the time to really drill into the problems we are having and has made us a follow up appointment for 7 weeks time to review where were at with the training. Already were seeing progress, our crazy EBT has been nackered all day from the mental stimulation of training and our pointer we managed to take on a nice walk to the shop with her new harness that was provided to us by Gavin. She was still pulling slightly but the best walk we've had with her in a long, long time and I'm sure with more training everyday it's only going to get better and we're looking forward to showing Gavin our progress we will have hopefully made in 7 weeks time! Gavin gave excellent advice and created a training plan that is easy to follow. We can already see improvements in our dogs behaviour. Good to know he is here to help throughout our dogs early development.

Gavin was excellent, explained everything clearly

Gavin is a really lovely, friendly person. Right from his arrival i knew he was going to save my ears from my two lovely but slightly over vocal mini dachshunds. Dottie and George took to him straight away, which made the whole process so much easier. Everything was fine in a calm and timely manner. Gavin explained everything so simply and gave reasons as to why and how training is done. We are one week in, to date, and so far there have been definite improvements with recall and barking. Looking forward to the next session at the end of May. Thank you so much Gavin.

It is early days as we have only had one visit/training session with gavin at bark busters and our dogs has challenges to overcome which will take time. We will continue to use the training methods and look forward to seeing an improvement.
