Bark Busters Reviews and Customer Testimonials

9th March 2026 - Neil Price

Neil dealt with Hyperactivity, Puppy management, Recall, Separation anxiety

Easy-to-follow instructions made a huge difference in the dog's behaviour, knowing what to do and how to address her, compared to attempts at self-training, which barely worked. The instructor was friendly and supportive.

7th March 2026 - Alex Fraser

Alex dealt with Barking, Jumping up, Separation anxiety

From the first phone call with Alex we were really confident that he understood the issues we were experiencing with our 10 year old rescue miniature Schnauzer, Maggie. Our first lesson was very enlightening, enabling us to better understand both dogs' behaviours and how our behaviour influences theirs. Alex provided us with some no-nonsense advice and demonstrated the behaviours we should be expecting from the dogs. He gave us a good deal of confidence in our own abilities to work towards our desired outcomes without being judgmental about our current practices. The follow up notes were very comprehensive and were an excellent reflection of the time he spent with us, recapping the techniques to focus on and how we could measure success.

Trainer note from Alex

Great session with Maggie, her brother and their parents. It is important to try and identify the root cause of why dogs don’t listen or why they worry about things. Then with training (training the owners) and often some management, we can always make dogs listen better and worry less. It is also often difficult to resolve certain behavioural issues without looking at the bigger picture. Looking forward to catching up with them all next week.

4th March 2026 - Alex Fraser

Alex dealt with Jumping up, Puppy management, Recall, Toileting

Was lovely to meet alex. He went though things for me to work on with waffle, as shes only a puppy I wanted to put things in place for her which alex did.

Trainer note from Alex

Lovely meeting Waffle and Waffle’s owner. Over all Waffle did really well, but the reality is, there is no quick fix for training a puppy. Young puppies are puppies until they are about 6 months old, at which time they enter their teenage phase. Somewhere between 12 - 18 months they will become well behaved adults if we get things right. My jobs is more about people training than dog training. Giving them owners the tools and skills to help make them the best versions of themselves. Looking forward to catching up with them both in a few weeks.

25th February 2026 - Alex Fraser

Alex dealt with Jumping up, Pulling, Recall

We recently re-homed Marbles (we think he’s a Staffy-Boxer cross of some sort) from a local dog’s home. He’s about 18 months old but we didn’t really know what to expect given he was handed in as a stray. Whilst he is undoubtedly a lovely tempered dog, he wasn’t great at listening or following commands. We reached out to Alex because we wanted to give our new dog the best start in his new environment, and given his breed felt that professional advice and support would be sensible. Alex was brilliant in his follow up from the initial enquiry; he is thorough and knowledgeable and explained his services clearly. He is also realistic in what we could hope to achieve in the initial session. On the day of our appointment, Alex was again brilliant. He set us at ease, and instilled us with confidence in how to interact with our new dog (particularly the very boisterous jumping up we get regualrly). Every dog is different, but I feel like Alex knew exactly where to start with ours. He taught us to communicate with Marbles on a variety of situations, showed us how to walk him properly on a lead and reduce the pulling (Alex also provided us with some better equipment to help - it’s now like a different dog on our daily walks). Alex was also very helpful in explaining nutritional needs of dogs and gave us some useful pointers. After our first session, Alex shared a number of documents so we had follow-up homework to maintain the consistency with training Marbles, so he could be the best version of himself. I’m really glad we chose BarkBusters as it’s given us the perfect platform and more importantly, empowered us to provide the best support for our new pooch!

21st February 2026 - Shauna Hoey

Shauna dealt with Aggression, Barking, Pulling, Separation anxiety

Shauna was excellent! We spent the first hour chatting and she gave me the opportunity to voice my concerns about Ziggy and she was very patient with all of my questions. We then spent two hours outside training. Very intense but informative and rewarding. It was such an eye-opener. I've incorporated her training into our everyday routine, and I've already seen significant improvement. Shauna is obviously very experienced and the whole experience was thoughtful and professional. She's a premium trainer, so it's a premium price point, money well spent as far as I'm concerned!

18th February 2026 - Lee Hardy

Lee dealt with Aggression, Barking, Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Puppy management, Sibling rivalry

Lee was absolutely amazing with both our dogs. Literally within the first 30mins he taught us a tactic to calm them down and teach them not to jump and get over excited, this worked and continues to work! He then taught us tricks to use to improve recall and attention on us rather than otter dogs, this is also going very well. We can see a change in our dogs already and it's only been a week. Really looking forward to our next session.
