Andy knows exactly what he is doing our puppy was a handful for us before Andy visited and gave us some teaching. Well worth spending the money if want to have a lovely pet you control and they don’t control you. The after care is second to none and is always at end of the phone if needed.

10th December 2021 - Graham M

Graham dealt with Aggression, Barking

Graham has simply amazed us! Our 6 month old GSD is very scared of people and very reactive. Graham was able to quickly calm him and gain his trust and identify his issues quickly. Everything was explained in a simple to understand way and in detail. Graham really knows his stuff! It was useful as it allowed us to understand why certain things worked. We have seen a huge improvement in Ziggy in just the week after our first session and cannot believe what Graham has helped us achieve! We cannot wait to continue working with him!

Graham dealt with Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Puppy Training, Other

We have received comprehensive guidelines both online and face to face. We feel comfortable with this and confident that this will help us and Bailey. We feel Jo and Graham will guide us with any issues that arise and already feel Bailey's taking notice. We have a long way to go yet but this is just week one.

- -.T, Bexleyheath, Kent (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
These owners have a nervous shy dog.  She seems to be confident, but a lot of it is bravado.  She has responded very well to being taught simple routines to help her when meeting visitors and new people.  She has also been learning to be calmer around the grandchildren and another family dog.  It takes time when a dog is not certain of itself, but these owners have made lots of progress already.

Graham dealt with Aggression, Barking, Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Recall

We have had our first virtual meeting with Jo, who I found to be extremely experienced within her role and completely open and honest. Felt totally relaxed and relieved by the end of our call. Thank you Jo !!!!

- -.S, Slade Green, Kent (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
These owners have taken on a Springer Spaniel who has a truly terrible history with multiple homes in his short 4 years. He has finally found a home who are prepared to help him with his numerous problems.  We foster and rehabilitate dogs ourselves and understand how much a damaged dog can disrupt the household. These owners have been doing a huge amount right and need help with some of the more complicated issues he is presenting with. Both Graham and I are looking forward to continuing to work with these owners and both their dogs.

10th March 2021 - Graham M

Graham dealt with Aggression, Chewing, Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Pulling, Puppy Training, Recall, Toileting

We contacted Bark Busters as we were new to owning a puppy and felt we needed guidance on all aspects associated with being a new dog owner. We found Graham to be a very calming influence to us and also Murray. His techniques for training Murray were excellent and covered all aspects of dog behaviour etc. It was great to see that after only a few minutes with Murray Graham had brought him under control. The instruction and face to face contact with Graham enabled us to see for ourselves what we should/should not be doing. Graham was always to hand when we were having a problem we could not deal with and he guided us through what to do. We found the notes he supplied to be very comprehensive and helpful. Murray is progressing with training, walking and recall work - not quite the finished article yet but we are getting there. He has said that should we need his help he is always at the end of a phone which we found reassuring. We were asked recently who our trainer was and we had no hesitation in recommending Bark Busters as we found Graham to be of great help to us.

- -.L, Orpington, Kent (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
Murray is a fantastic little fellow who just needed a guiding hand on his journey from puppy to fully grown dog. He's currently doing well in his teenage phase and his owners are coping brilliantly.

28th February 2021 - Graham M

Graham dealt with Aggression, Hyperactivity

We are delighted with the progress made with Harley, and look forward to further, beneficial support from Bark Busters. We would certainly recommend them.

- -.S, West Wickham, London (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
Harley is a 4 year old lurcher who is very friendly and affectionate to his human owners, who adopted him 6 months prior to asking us for some help. The main problem that they encountered was that Harley was very reactive to other dogs outdoors and would try to attack them. Walks were not fun or calming! After a couple of sessions we had reached the stage where the owners could go for a relaxing walk with Harley who, is now stand-offish rather than aggressive to other dogs. He still has his moments but things are progressing well.

Graham dealt with Aggression, Barking, Puppy Training

Absolutely FANTASTIC. Both Jo & Graham are total experts. They analysed instantly what was going on with Obi's body language and where the root cause of his anxious behaviour was coming from. Jo spent hours at the initial zoom meeting really getting in depth with Obi's history and daily routine. She gave us really useful information about change of diet and other helpful tools to help us progress. Graham came over to our house and spent over two hours working with us and Obi to train us into better routines. Obi struggles with fear of the neighbours children and would growl and bark at them. Within ONE hour of graham working with them, Obi was happily sitting on the sofa with the little girl from next door. We've seen great improvement since then. Haven't stopped telling everyone I know with a dog what a god send these two are!

- -.J, bromley, London (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
Obi is a lovely dog but he is not confident and becomes easily unnerved. His owners got on really well with their neighbours and were concerned at his fears around their children. Many dog are fearful of young children because they are unpredictable. They can cope with older children and adults because they know what is going to happen next.  With young children it is helping a dog observe a child so they can get used to them without feeling under threat.  This does have to be undertaken carefully as it can backfire and scare a dog more.  This is why putting training in place first was so important with Jo before a hands on follow up with Graham.  Obi's owners practiced and gave Obi the best chance they could of success. It will need ongoing work, but Obi is looking to his owners now for support and help when he is scared and this will reap rewards going forward.

Graham dealt with Puppy Training, Recall

Have had one zoom call first and then a visit where Jo brought her dog for my dog to have a play date to see her reaction to other dogs and practice lead training.

- -.S, Bexleyheath, Kent (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
This owner had a Romanian rescue and had been instructed by her rescue not to take her dog out for walks as they thought she was overwhelmed by seeing dogs and people outside.  Her owners were also scared that she would escape their garden as she had a history of escaping so had been taking her onlead in the garden and were worried she would slip her lead outside.  I was able to get her off lead in the garden and practice getting her back to the family which she was really good at.  It proved that she pretty good with other dogs and her problem was she wasn't used to being outside on a lead which is why she was overwhelmed. For safety she was attached to two leads.  One on her collar and one on her harness.  Graham has since done a further lead walking session so she can be managed on the lead when pulling and they are doing really well with her.

Graham dealt with Aggression, Barking

Jo Came to see me for my 6 year Shitz shu Poppy. Poppy responded to the calming coat and commands. Jo was very helpful and informative.

- -.H, Swanley, Kent (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham

Poppy has always been a barky dog reacting to outside noises and people moving in the flat.  Her owner had tried many ways to stop this, but Poppy would still have episodes of excessive barking which her owner couldn’t stop.  This got much worse when her owner’s partner bought his rambunctious Labrador Leo to visit.  By the time I saw him at eight months old he was typical of many frustrated adolescent boys and was mounting, jumping up and mouthing both Poppy and her owner.  It seemed as though he didn’t mean any harm, but Poppy wasn’t coping, and it was difficult for both owners to work out how to handle the situation.  Her owner has done an excellent job of training Poppy to come to her rather than trying to deal with Leo herself.  Her barking is triggered by noise sensitivity rather than territorial barking so a calming “Thundershirt” is being used to help Poppy to be a little less sensitive.  Visits from Leo have been stopped now during Covid-19, but I have been speaking to Poppy’s owner remotely and will be guiding them remotely when they are able to visit their holiday home again.
