My husband and I were a week into rehoming Bert (a cocker/retriever cross) when we realised we needed help with some behavioural issues (lead reactivity, poor recall and general anxiety). I contacted Bark Busters and booked a support package with Emma Barrett. After one session with Emma, my husband and I felt really encouraged. Bert responded so positively to the training. This is really motivating as Bert has not had the best start in life and we want to get him back on track. We value the support package offered by Bark Busters as it means we have Emma’s on-going support across our first year with Bert. We know it’s going to take time and patience to gain Bert’s confidence and to know we have Emma in support is incredibly reassuring.

After just one session with Emma we have immediately noticed a change in our little Percy's behaviour. He's much calmer and less anxious. Emma taught us how to 'speak dog' and act as leaders Percy feels safe with. Emma clearly has a passion for her area of expertise and is very knowledgeable. We're very grateful for all her help and would highly recommend her to anybody who looking for a trainer / behaviourist.

Emma was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything really well in a way we could easily understand. She demonstrated all her techniques before watching us try. She covered everything from behaviour to feeding. We saw improvements within the session in Stirling's behaviour and are impressed at how effective the training is.

Emma arrived promptly and was a delight, the insight and information she shared with us was extremely helpful. We have always had dogs, but were becoming concerned about the incessant barking of our rescue dog who is 15 months old - it was becoming unbearable and combined with his anxiety, left us struggling to know how best to support him whilst also ridding him of his bad habit. Emma discussed his diet and recommended swapping to a raw diet to help with his anxiety and strict rules about OUR behaviour whilst dealing with both of our dogs. Of course the dig never barked once whilst she was there! However he responded to her talking to him - even though he wouldn't come out of his safe place to greet her ! Emma spent 3 hours with us and was so helpful. Within 3 days of her training programme Vlad was already stopping barking on our command and responding well to clear direction. We swapped to a raw food diet 2 weeks ago and have seen a difference in the anxiety level and the dogs simply love their new food - nothing left in the bowl after they have been fed, which they had done before. I would like to Thank Emma so much for giving us the confidence to support Vlad so that he is a proper member of the family and not viewed as a nuisance by our neighbours - if you are considering support for you dog - do it- you won't regret it !

Emma was very knowledgeable and reassuring during our session, she made us feel at ease and knew we wanted the best for our puppy. Her tips started to work straight away and our walks have been different ever since, he no longer pulls and seems much less fearful when out and about. His barking at the door is getting better too.

A very positive experience for us and Tara, Emma was very patient and we learnt so much in our first lesson, Changing Tara's food has really improved her temperament and we are so happy with her behaviour so far, much improved.

Emma was great arrived on time, spent time with myself and my husband going through what training we were looking for before meeting Bert who is a lively 17 month Patterdale terrier! He showed improvement on the first day the new harness I purchased from Emma is brilliant no more pulling when out walking and he is improving on his lead aggression to other dogs, he has also really improved on the jumping up when I come through the door. Thanks to Emma I feel that I have gained control back at home and I feel so much more relaxed when taking Bert out.
