My 18 month old cocker spaniel has a great personality but also turns into a maniac when he hears a knock at the door, a noise he doesn't know where it's come from, any movement outside etc. He pulls on the lead and doesn't want to be left alone, I can't even nip into the kitchen without him at my feet. After our visit from Alex today, we have started to correct all this behaviour. I feel confident I've got the tools to carry this forward for a much better relationship with my dog and less of a chance of burst ear drums or someone fearing they'll be savaged if they knock on the door. Today I've seen our dog listen to a knock at the door without barking, waiting back from the door, waiting at a boundary line, left him inside alone for 2 mins without barking (bearing in mind I couldn't even take the bin out before) and had an enjoyable walk with him on the lead. I couldn't recommend Alex enough, although there's still a way to go after the initial lesson I feel like I might actually get some normality back. He's worked a miracle in my eyes today.

Always enjoy my sessions and following the initial session, there should always be some quick wins for the customer. Some behaviours often take longer to improve, especially behaviours such separation anxiety. This session went even better than I could have anticipated, especially due to the fact that we were able to leave him home alone for 2 minutes without him making a fuss and he stopped worrying when we practice knocking on the front door. Happy dog, happy customers and a very happy behaviouralist!

Alex was very professional and friendly. Mavis is a rescue English Bulldog. I've had her 5 weeks now and while she gets on with my other 3 dogs when I'm walking her and she sees another dog she starts pulling barking trying to get to the dog and whining really bad. Alex showed me how to handle her on these outbursts and hopefully we will see a difference and she will be to heel. We also did indoor training as well which is a great success. I would definitely recommend Alex. Its also great he comes to your home.

Great session with Mavis and her Mum and she did really well. In order to get our dogs listening to us better when in a walk, it’s important that we get them listening to us around the home when they are less adrenalised. After the initial session there will always be some quick wins, but some behaviours can take longer to improve.

I was really pleased with how the first session with Alex went. I was feeling a bit despairing due to dog reactivity which was making walks really stressful. Alex discussed everything in great detail and went through some basic manners with my dogs as well as giving me a clear idea of what the whole family needed to do to improve things. I now feel much more positive and am looking forward to the next session.

Alex came to my home today to meet me and 10 month old scooby. Straight away he made me feel at ease and really relaxed after worrying all week how scooby would respond. Well scooby loved the training he did super well and was a really good boy I can now walk him without being dragged down the road without barking and lunging towards another dog. I can answer the door without barking and charging against my legs. The bah approach is so good scooby stops what he is doing straight away and looks at me which he never did he just ignored me. I’m so so happy with how today went and I can’t thank Alex enough if I could give 100 stars I would thank you Alex see you soon.

I am delighted to receive such positive feedback so soon after the initial session yesterday. Within minutes of me being in their home both Scooby and his Mum relaxed which resulted in a very rewarding session. Scooby soon started to listen to his Mum in the house and when we went for a walk, he quickly walked to heel on a loose lead. We finished the walk by following a couple of dogs from a distance and he was completely relaxed. I’ve been told that he was really well behaved when she walked him later that day, even when another dog barked at him. Thank you for the 100 stars!!

Alex was great, his knowledge of understanding us and our pup, Eddie, was amazing. After just one session we feel more confident with our stubborn English Bull Terrier, we did feel a bit stupid barking at our dog but it really does work. Eddie is so much more relaxed already. Thanks Alex, keep up the good work 😁

All puppies have their challenges, but an English Bull Terrier puppy may challenge more than most, even if the owner has had young dongs before. I was delighted with how well he did on his first training session, and Im even more delighted to hear that they are already feeling more in charge of Eddie. Can’t wait to catch up with them all in a few weeks. Keep up the good work!

Alex was amazing. The results I had on the day and since then have been remarkable. It is like I have a different dog. A lot of the problem was down to the way I was treating / reacting to Eric’s behaviour.
So happy now, still lots of work and training to be done but I now feel like I can manage it.

As always, I really enjoyed the session, especially meeting Eric. Eric is a lovely dog, even if he was very excited when meeting new people in the home. Although his owner was after help with some of his behaviours on walks, it’s important that we get him listening better in the home, which in turn will help him listen better on walks. I’m so pleased to hear everything is going in the right direction.

Our 2 year old Jack Chi, Fennec is a lovely boy, but he's very anxious and needy. We've had issues with reactivity on the lead and separation anxiety, among other things. We had our first training session with Alex a few days ago. I wasn't sure what to expect and was very nervous, but I soon relaxed as, unlike a lot of trainers would, he didn't tell us off for giving treats or allowing Fennec up on the furniture etc; He just explained how those things should be on our own terms, not the dogs. We felt silly growling at him, but it works. We still have a lot of work to do, but it was a really great start and we've already seen positive changes in Fennec. By the end of the lesson, he was curled up, fast asleep in his own bed - which is unheard of! We are very much looking forward to our next lesson. So far so good!

It was lovely meeting Fennec and he did really well on the initial session. The guttural correction is an excellent way to refocus a dog and works better than any words. We weren’t however able to focus much on lead work due to torrential rain, so we fill focus on this on his first follow up session. This is why the support guarentee works so well. Looking forward to catching up with all soon in a few weeks.

After just over one week following the training session with Alex, we have found Albert's reactive behaviour towards people and other dogs to have improved tremendously. We are following the advice given by Alex regarding passive leadership. Albert's correction training is going extremely well and both Albert and Mazey on the whole, are responding calmly when someone comes to the door. Albert's reactions around other dogs whilst out walking is a pleasure and his lead walking "to heal" is improving and it's a pleasure walking the dogs together. Mazey is also becoming more aware of what is expected of her, following the advice Alex gave on her "re-training" needs. It became apparent during the training session with Alex, that both myself and my husband also needed to undertake a refresher on how to handle our dogs, in order for us all to enjoy each others company! Thank you Alex.

I was asked to help improve some of Albert’s behaviours, but it became clear that their older dog Mazey was partially the route cause, and in order to have a calmer Albert, they also needed to work with his older sister. Both dogs responded really well on their initial session and I am delighted to hear that they are both behaving and listening better. Keep up the good work!

Our dog is an anxious Romanian rescue dog who has developed inappropriate boundary barking and who can be unpredictable with other dogs. Alex worked with us to give us the tools to correct and reward her in a clear but calm and caring way. Alex shared his experience and evidence based knowledge in a clear and factual way (with a bit of humour thrown in !) He engaged in problem solving for our own set of circumstances, coming up with practical and workable solutions. He left us feeling empowered and very positive about the changes we can make in reducing Dahlia’s anxiety.

Following covid I have met a lot of foreign rescue dogs and in the main they tend to be more nervous than the average UK rescue and the majority are more nervous of males than females. The session went really well and she did really well on her walk, although we didn’t encounter many other dogs on the walk. This is why follow up support is so important as we can plan a walk where we will encounter more dogs in a controlled way. Follow upon sessions are also important to make sure the family are being consistent with their daily ground rules etc. Looking forward to catching up with them all in the future.

Was amazingly surprised by how well our GSD did with some training (mostly for us) from Alex this week! She was like a completely different dog. We still have some way to go but Alex has assured is that he will be on hand and that she (the dog) wants to be obedient and follow commands / the pack.

However after some barking and jumping up when I initially entered the home, she soon calmed down and really seemed to enjoy the training (as did her owners). I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly she started to listen and I was delighted with how calm she was when we took her for a short walk. Looking forward to catching up with them all agin to see how they are getting on.

Alex was really friendly and confident with Lady. He immediately put me and my mum at ease and Lady listened to him straight away. The tips he gave us were so useful and we have already seen changes in Lady’s heel work and much less jumping when we come into the room. She’s doing really well and we are so pleased we engaged Alex in helping us. We would definitely recommend him and have already passed on his details to a friend in need!

By the end of the first session Lady started to realise that she didn’t have to worry about people entering her home as it wasn’t her responsibility and she felt safe sitting away from the front door when people came in. Following the first session I have been sent a video of the owners daughter walking her on a loose lead, head in line with toes. She is making amazing progress. Keep up the good work!
