Really enjoyed meeting Poppy and her parents and I’m really impressed with how she did on the session and I’m even more excited about the fact she is continuing to be calmer on her walks. When working with any dog with behavioural issues it’s important to work out the route cause as to why they are behaving in the way they are. With the correct training and some management , we can then start to improve their behaviour. As her owner mentioned, the reason Poppy barked on walks was mainly down to the fact that she spent a lot of her time at home barking out of the window. Once she was no longer barking at home, she became so much calmer on walks. That’s why its so important that we look at everything they do, both inside and outside the home. Keep up the good work!

Over the last 3 years I have worked with a lot of foreign rescue dogs, some from a street background and some from a domesticated background. In the main they all tend to be far more nervous than the average UK rescue dog. But this doesn’t mean that we can’t help them adjust to their new home and teach them that they no longer have to worry and that their owners are going to keep them safe. This session went better than I could have hoped and Im delighted with how well she has done following the initial session. Im looking forward to catching up with them next week.

Really enjoyed this session. Initially I wasn’t sure how much we would be able to get done as its important that the training is taken at the dogs pace and not then owners, and to start with he was quite excitable and mouthy. But he quickly started to listen and I really was pleasantly surprised with how well he did - especially inside the home. There is no quick fix or magic wand, but with some consistency ands the correct techniques, I am confident he will grow up to be a well behave boy. Can’t wait to catch up with them all soon.

As always I really enjoyed this session and enjoyed meeting Teddy. His owners had been told by their vet that he was an aggressive dog, however I honestly believe he was simply unnerved by the vet. Yes he was very excitable when I first turned up, but he really is a lovely little dog and showed no signs of nervous aggression when I met them all. He did really well on the first training session and I can’t wait to catch up with them al in the New Year.

This was one of the most rewarding sessions I have ever done and I have met a large number of challenging dogs. Trying to do the initial chat was a challenge as it was difficult to hear each other due to the amount of barking. Daschunds may be small but can bark very loudly. By the end of the session even I was surprised at how well we had done and I can’t wait tom catch up with them all in a few weeks.

Really enjoyed this session like always. Rudi is quite an excitable young dog and doesn’t know how to settle. With any dog its important we get the basics correct - plenty of sleep and the right food and right amount of food.
I was impressed with how he did on the initial session recently I went back to see them for their first follow up session. I was delighted with his progress. He is still an excitable young dog, but he did settle quicker. Looking forward to catching up with them all again.

The initial session is a longer session and a lot can be achieved, in general follow up support is required to build on the training and develop the owners skills. This initial session went really well and I am delighted to hear from Lunar’s parents that she is doing so much better. Keep up the good work!

Really enjoyed this training session! We don’t know a lot about Bruce’s past and they have not had him for long. I meet a lot of nervous GSD who are often unsure about strangers and Bruce was not happy when I first entered their home. I was delighted with how he did, especially that fact that he allowed me to walk next to him on a walk as he has a tendency to bark and lunge at strangers. Since the first session I have already received an update advising how much calmer he has become which is great to hear. Keep up the good work!

I really enjoyed this session and I was delighted with how well behave Max was both inside and on his walk. Sometimes it is just a matter of fine tuning the owners skills. Keep up the good work!!

It’s been a year of puppies - some first time puppy owners, some experienced dog owners, but regardless of experience, all puppies can have their challenges. We are never going to fully train a puppy or its owner on one session, but with ongoing support we can make them the best version of them selves which is extremely rewarding!
