Was amazingly surprised by how well our GSD did with some training (mostly for us) from Alex this week! She was like a completely different dog. We still have some way to go but Alex has assured is that he will be on hand and that she (the dog) wants to be obedient and follow commands / the pack.

I have met some excitable and chatty GSDs over the past 10 years, and this little lady was certainly one of them. However after some barking and jumping up when I initially entered the home, she soon calmed down and really seemed to enjoy the training (as did her owners). I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly she started to listen and I was delighted with how calm she was when we took her for a short walk. Looking forward to catching up with them all agin to see how they are getting on.

Alex was really friendly and confident with Lady. He immediately put me and my mum at ease and Lady listened to him straight away. The tips he gave us were so useful and we have already seen changes in Lady’s heel work and much less jumping when we come into the room. She’s doing really well and we are so pleased we engaged Alex in helping us. We would definitely recommend him and have already passed on his details to a friend in need!

This was a great session and Lady did really really well! She used to jump up a lot when people entered her home and could bark i when nervous. By the end of the first session Lady started to realise that she didn’t have to worry about people entering her home as it wasn’t her responsibility and she felt safe sitting away from the front door when people came in. Following the first session I have been sent a video of the owners daughter walking her on a loose lead, head in line with toes. She is making amazing progress. Keep up the good work!

Alex is very friendly and great as a behaviourist! He provided us with many useful information, tips and tricks. He also showed us how to work with our dog so he’s more obedient and confident. We had a great first session and already see some results! Much appreciated!

I was really impressed with how well he did. There is no quick fix, but with some consistency and some simple ground rules, we can make our dogs listen better and worry less. Please work hard and work together to make him the best version of himself and keep me posted on how you get on.

Alex came to my house as I had a few issues with a rescue pomeranian. From the moment we met him, he put us all at ease, including Poppy. Our main issue is that whilst she is out on a lead, she constantly barks at everything and just doesn't enjoy her walks. He explained that the training starts inside the house and as soon as she knows I am in charge and will look after her she will start to relax. We have been practising for 2 days, and the results so far are amazing. We no longer have barking in the house and have seen a massive improvement on walks. We have a way to go yet to get a relaxed poppy outside, but with our homework, I am sure we will get there. I can not thank Alex enough for showing us what we need to do.

Really enjoyed meeting Poppy and her parents and I’m really impressed with how she did on the session and I’m even more excited about the fact she is continuing to be calmer on her walks. When working with any dog with behavioural issues it’s important to work out the route cause as to why they are behaving in the way they are. With the correct training and some management , we can then start to improve their behaviour. As her owner mentioned, the reason Poppy barked on walks was mainly down to the fact that she spent a lot of her time at home barking out of the window. Once she was no longer barking at home, she became so much calmer on walks.That’s why its so important that we look at everything they do, both inside and outside the home. Keep up the good work!

We had Alex come to our home just over a month ago now to help us with our cockapoo Sergio.
We needed help with some problems such as boredom whilst we wasn’t home, even after 1 hour 30 min walks per day, getting crazily excited and jumping on people and dogs when coming into our home and lastly pulling on walks especially when he’s seen another dog unable to calm down afterwards.
We were unsure how to deal with these problems as Sergio is very clever, so we felt as though he was outdoing us.
Alex was a lovely man, very calm and very knowledgeable.
Alex taught us so much and it was all so simple and easy to put into place and it’s made a world of difference for us!
There are still some minor improvements needed but it’s a marathon not a sprint so we’re still chipping away and hoping everything Alex taught us will soon become second nature to us all.
We’ve had great results that’s been noticed by family, friends and daycare so we would highly recommend Alex to anybody needing help.

We desperately needed some help with our Rescue Dog Gillie everyone that entered the house was subject to very aggressive / intimidating barking especially my brother. We had Gillie in another room as advised and introduced her to Alex again very aggressive approach. By the end of our session Gillie was asleep on Alexs' feet. Alex taught us with that control verbally is what a dog needs no shouting pulling etc and lots and lots training tires the dog mentally as they need this challenge on a daily basis. "BAH" affords you some control in the house. Gillie still has a long way to go as she was a street dog so has known no boundaries or experienced any early socialising skills. Within a week with lots of training around door manners my brother was able to come in and watch football with my partner with a nice relaxing beer and a relaxed dog on his feet ......... nothing short of miraculous!!! We have a lot of walking / park issues to resolve so need to keep going. I do feel that rescue centres should work hand in hand with Bark Busters before rescue dogs are released to peoples homes - better experience for the rehomed dog and their new owners! Alex is unbelievable ..... Actual Dog Whisperer ............ only down side is he wasn't able to move in with us lol!!! I think the 12 months is a must and would highly recommend Alex to anyone with a new dog as teaching them well now will hopefully reap rewards for you and them later.

But this doesn’t mean that we can’t help them adjust to their new home and teach them that they no longer have to worry and that their owners are going to keep them safe. This session went better than I could have hoped and Im delighted with how well she has done following the initial session. Im looking forward to catching up with them next week.

Wow, what can I say except Thank you so much to Alex for all his valuable advice and his help. Teddy is our rescue dog who we had had for 6 weeks when he came, we were so worried that he wouldn’t be able to help us, but we saw an amazing difference in Teddy within a few minutes of him being here. Alex gave us lots of valuable advice, tips and homework to do, we were so impressed that we decided to take out the 12month package as security.. we look forward to working further with him. Alex is a genuine, kind person, and Teddy loved him straight off!

As always I really enjoyed this session and enjoyed meeting Teddy. His owners had been told by their vet that he was an aggressive dog, however I honestly believe he was simply unnerved by the vet. Yes he was very excitable when I first turned up, but he really is a lovely little dog and showed no signs of nervous aggression when I met them all. He did really well on the first training session and I can’t wait to catch up with them al in the New Year.

Where to start. I have 3 Dachshunds and 2 of them are nuts. I’m sorry I love them but they can act so wild. On Alex’s arrival I was somewhat sceptical if he could help us. They were barking, fighting and jumping frantically. An hour into the session the dogs began to respond to commands Alex taught me. And by the end of the session they stopped barking wouldn’t leave a room with out my say so and they were absolutely Exhausted as were we. When Alex left I began to cry as I have really poor health conditions and I thought I may have to get my dogs a new family. Alex thank you for making this home a happy and peaceful one in only one session. I can’t wait for the next.

By the end of the session even I was surprised at how well we had done and I can’t wait tom catch up with them all in a few weeks.

Alex was absolutely wonderful - from the minute he stepped through our front door he reassured us both that any issues we were facing could be corrected with a bit of patience and consistency. He spent as much time training us as the owners as he did Rudi which was super helpful and gave us the confidence to continue the training after he had left. In the weeks since our first lesson we have noticed how much more settled Rudi is and how well he is reacting to being in a routine with lots of mental stimulation to tire him out. As a beagle Rudi can go for hours physically and so it was vital that we nailed some mentally challenging activities for him so he was more settled and started to get some much needed sleep. We can't wait to see Alex again to start taking the next steps in Rudi's training.

Amazing first session!! We have a very anxious 2 Yr old GSD. He is extremely reactive to strangers. After our first session Alex was able to walk alongside him without reaction which is a massive achievement. He was also able to be in the house without Bruce going crazy. Training was explained really well and the difference already has been great. Excited to see how we can build on this to help settle Bruce's anxiety.
