As Alfie is our first ever dog, I felt I needed training and Alex made me feel at ease and not at all stupid. He gave me simple and easy to follow instructions. One month down the line Alfie is getting a lot better (bar his 6 month adolescent tantrums when he doesn't want to listen on occasions lol). More importantly Alfie is at ease with Alex. It’s been a year of puppies - some first time puppy owners, some experienced dog owners, but regardless of experience, all puppies can have their challenges. We are never going to fully train a puppy or its owner on one session, but with ongoing support we can make them the best version of them selves which is extremely rewarding!

What a wonderful experience! Having purchased both Eric and Ernie during lockdown we were all too aware of the lack of socialisation skills and etiquette the puppies have had the opportunity to experience, and had witnessed first hand the distress of separation anxiety having been with them 24 - 7 then returning to work. After our first session with Alex we were absolutely delighted with the results. Alex was informative, and very intuitive to both puppy’s current skills levels and capacity to learn (our pups are 11 months and 3 months old, and different breeds) Alex is so knowledgeable and inspires confidence. I’m delighted to say we’re proud and astounded by the progress made in our first session and are excited for the next! Thank you Alex!

Having been a dog owner for many years I believed I had a pretty good understanding of how to bring up my dog. After 3 hours with Alex I realised I still had a lot to learn. Alex demonstrated considerable knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and how to manage it both to improve the confidence of my dog and his happiness. I experienced immediate and very positive changes in my dogs behaviour as I altered the way that I treated him.

With a Baby on the way we sort Alex out to help with our over excited one and a half year old Beagle Spaniel Cross (Lockdown Puppy). Archie was a little wary of him at first but quickly took to Alex no problem. We were taken through a number of training drills to help with Archies 'Door manners' and shown how to effectively correct bad behaviour without having to raise our voice. We thought Archie was a major Lead puller but it turns out with a longer lead and a little bit of technique he barely pulls at all. I've watched countless YouTube videos on how to stop pulling but they don't explain why they are doing what they do, this is where having a 1 to 1 session really helps as Alex is able to explain why what he is doing actually works, then if you know why it works its easier for you to tell if you are doing it wrong when the teacher isn't there. Alex also highlighted a number of general changes to our behaviour to become better passive leaders to Archie. Again stuff that you just wouldn't think to do or stuff that I haven't seen come up in dog training TV shows or YouTube videos. We've had just the one session but have seen big improvements already, Thank you Alex

It’s been almost 2 weeks since the training and just one visit has made a difference. There’s no more lead pulling, Lennie is more calm with continued training and noticed he is less aggressive towards strangers. Alex has been amazing and given some really good advice. Lovely meeting Waffle and Waffle’s owner. Over all Waffle did really well, but the reality is, there is no quick fix for training a puppy. Young puppies are puppies until they are about 6 months old, at which time they enter their teenage phase. Somewhere between 12 - 18 months they will become well behaved adults if we get things right. My jobs is more about people training than dog training. Giving them owners the tools and skills to help make them the best versions of themselves. Looking forward to catching up with them both in a few weeks.

Alex kept in contact us he let us know when he was on his way and when he arrived. so we had time to put Shadow in a different room so he could meet her before training started. I would highly recommend him It was his 1st visit he helped Shadow how to learn and wait whilst we was in the kitchen at the door whilst we pretended to chop food up with a tasty sausage :) Helped with a few issues we are having with a young pup and we learnt a lot as well now to practice it :) Looking forward to to the next visits Thanks Alex we got time to relax after your visit as Shadow was very worn out

Alex is helping our Vizsla puppy (Daisy) get up to speed with her training. Daisy is very high energy and rules the roost at home! Working with Alex, Daisy is already improving and beginning to listen more. She’s responding well to his methods and with a few more sessions, I think Daisy is going to be brilliant. I’d really recommend Alex, he’s give us help & sound advice with her food, leads, sleep, alongside all the work he’s doing with her training. He’s very knowledgeable and Daisy actually listens to his methods - which is a big relief (as we have had previous trainers that weren’t able to help with Daisy) Thanks Alex, looking forward to seeing our girl improve even more :)

Met with Alex and we went through several exercises together with my Golden Retriever puppy, Penny. She responded well and I'll continue to practice with her until our next visit from Alex. Alex explained things clearly before then going through the exercises to show me how it's done, before I then had a go myself. The initial lesson was very hands on which worked perfectly and I'm looking forward to seeing Alex again so we can continue training Penny. Alex is clearly knowledgable and I've got full confidence in his abilities to train Penny with me. The exercises we did most definitely instilled more confidence in me too.

I love working with puppies. Partly because I can watch them grow up to be well behaved dogs and partly, because I am able to go home after a couple of hours to my 2 older dogs, unlike their owner who lives with them full time. As I have said before, there really is no quick fix with a puppy. For me they are puppies until about 6 months old. Then they enter their teenage phase, but by 12 - 18 months they will be a well behaved adult if we get things right. Penny was certainly full of energy, but after just over 2 hours she was absolutely shattered and she was fast asleep when I left. Look forward to catching up with Penny and her family in a few weeks

Alex was so reassuring and addressed all our concerns in an easy and very effective professional way. Was worth the money and time , even though we are still working on some issues. Everything was done efficiently without long winded ‘round the houses’ explanations, which only overload your brain and memory. The training advice was emailed quickly and is very useful and easy to understand…. Along with the reasons Holly acts like she does. We would recommend the training/therapy to anyone.
